Korean Tech Firm Gunn Solution India Promotes Smart Factory Revolution in Pune
Supported by the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA), the initiative unveils MES-driven digital manufacturing tools as India accelerates towards Industry 4.0 while strengthening Korea-India Industrial Collaboration.
Pune, India – Signalling a new phase in Korea–India industrial cooperation, Gunn Solution India (GSI) showcased South Korea’s cutting-edge Smart Factory technologies, such as Manufacturing Execution System (MES) expertise, in Pune, positioning itself at the forefront of India’s rapidly expanding Industry 4.0 ecosystem. The showcase, which drew strong participation from manufacturing leaders and technology experts, placed the spotlight on how Korean digital manufacturing solutions are reshaping production floors in India.
Backed by the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA) of South Korea, the event underscored the strategic intent behind Korea’s digital push into India’s manufacturing sector. Mr Hong Ji Myung, Executive Director of NIPA, outlined the agency’s long-term commitment to enabling India’s digital transformation, applauding GSI for serving as a bridge between Korean innovation and India’s industrial needs.
During a live demonstration on November 13 in Pune, the GSI team illustrated how its Smart Factory platform—powered by advanced Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)—enables real-time monitoring, seamless workflow management, and data-based manufacturing decisions. The system showed how production lines can move from traditional operations to automated, intelligent ecosystems, where errors drop, efficiency rises, and managers gain complete visibility of manufacturing data.
Ms Kim Boyon (Jini), Managing Director of GSI, and Mr Dhananjay Dongre, Technical Director, elaborated on the company’s mission to help Indian manufacturers adopt globally proven digital production practices. They emphasized that transforming factory floors into interconnected, AI-driven environments is no longer a choice but a necessity for businesses seeking global competitiveness.
Industry voices added weight to the discussion. Speakers, including Mr Ravi Shankar, Mr Nandagopal Vaidya, and Mr Harshvardhan Gune, highlighted the urgency for Indian enterprises to adopt smart systems that reduce costs, enhance productivity, and accelerate decision-making.
GSI’s expanding product suite goes beyond MES to include Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Free Trade Agreement (FTA) solutions, HRMS, WorkHub, and AI-powered applications, all designed to serve businesses of varying sizes and sectors. The company stresses that scalable, customizable digital tools will be key to future-proofing India’s manufacturing strength.
As the country intensifies efforts to integrate Industry 4.0 practices—from robotics and automation to IoT-enabled systems—GSI aims to remain a strategic technology partner capable of transferring Korean expertise into Indian contexts.
NIPA, Korea’s leading ICT promotion body, continues to bolster this ambition. Its mandate spans policy development, ICT industry promotion, talent cultivation, startup support, marketing assistance, and global collaboration—initiatives designed to reinforce South Korea’s role in global digital innovation and extend its influence into new markets like India.
Founded in South Korea in 2011 and operational in India since 2021, Gunn Solution India has evolved into a specialized technology provider that converts traditional, manual factory processes into intelligent, interconnected networks. By digitizing each stage of production, the firm empowers organizations to operate with confidence, accuracy, and real-time insight, paving the way for a smarter and more competitive manufacturing future.
