K-pop Singer Aoora Launches New Track ‘Shiva Shivam’ with India Spiritual Connect
Bigg Boss fame strengthened India's connection with a spiritually themed track inspired by Lord Shiva’s Tandava ahead of Maha Shivratri.
New Delhi, India – South Korean K-pop artist Aoora has once again captured the attention of Indian audiences with his latest single, Shiva Shivam, a track that fuses spiritual themes with electronic dance music (EDM). Known for his distinctive lyrics, stylish choreography, and charismatic stage presence, Aoora has built a loyal fan base in India that expanded significantly after his appearance on Bigg Boss 17.
The new song draws on traditional Sanskrit chants that praise Lord Shiva. It seeks to revive the energy of his cosmic dance, the Tandava, which means creating and destroying simultaneously. People are very excited about the song because it was released on February 15, just before the major Maha Shivratri festival. The idea of the song is deeply spiritual, but it’s mixed with modern electronic music, which has helped it become popular online.
The combination of traditional and modern sounds is what’s driving conversation. The song’s release timing was perfect, and its connection to a major festival has added to its appeal. Overall, the song is a unique blend of old and new and is getting significant attention from music fans.
Aoora’s music career started way before he became super popular in India.
He first released an album titled Love Back in 2009, followed by a solo song titled Body Part in 2014. But it was when he appeared on the TV show Bigg Boss 17 as the first Korean person to ever be on it that many people in India started to know who he was. After that, he appeared on another show, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11, which further increased his popularity and led more people to follow his music across the country.
Aoora has become increasingly popular in India over the past few years. He came to India about four years ago and has been exploring various regional music styles and singing in multiple languages. Some of his songs, like Thi Thi Thara, were particularly special because of their sound and his effort to learn Malayalam. Last year, his song Holi Re Rasiya was a big hit during the festival season.
He also recorded his own versions of classic songs such as Yeh Shaam Mastani and Jimmy Jimmy, demonstrating his ability to sing a wide range of music. Aoora’s music blends different styles, which is why people like him so much. He keeps trying new things and singing in different languages, which makes his songs really interesting.
Aoora took to Instagram to share a sneak peek of his new song, Shiva Shivam. As he did, he reflected on his time in India and said the song’s release was a way to thank the people there for their love and support. For Aoora, Shiva Shivam is about more than just the music – he wants it to touch people’s hearts and be a kind of prayer for those who listen to it.
Aoora, whose real name is Park Min-jun, is a talented South Korean artist who can rap, sing, write songs, and compose music. He started out as part of the K-pop group Double A, which debuted in 2011. But in 2016, he decided to leave the group and try to make it on his own. Since then, he’s been experimenting with all sorts of music, from pop to R&B to electronic dance music. His big break came with the hit song “Because I’m Crazy”, which showed everyone what he could do as a solo artist.
With Shiva Shivam, Aoora continues to build a cultural bridge between Korea and India, blending devotional themes with contemporary global pop sensibilities—a combination that appears to resonate strongly with fans across both regions.
