Addressing the gathering, Anand Kaushal, National President of WJAI, said the association is not merely providing a platform for digital journalists but is also building a transparent and accountable media ecosystem.

“WJAI is the largest web media organisation in the country and the first officially registered Self-Regulatory Body (SRB) under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting’s Digital Media Ethics Code 2021, recognised as the Web Journalists’ Standard Authority (WJSA),” said Kaushal. He emphasised that WJAI’s mission is to empower journalists through legal, ethical, and professional frameworks while ensuring digital journalism continues to uphold integrity and credibility.

Reflecting on his decades of experience, Jha noted how media has evolved from print to digital and now into the AI era, emphasising that while mediums may change, the responsibility of fostering meaningful and truthful communication remains constant.

“I dedicate this honour to all professionals who uphold faith and honesty in the media. As we move forward, my goal is to promote the responsible and creative use of AI in journalism and to empower the next generation of communicators with both innovation and integrity,” he added.
