Ramesh Iyer re-elected ICCK Chairman, vows to deepen India–Korea biz collaboration

At its Annual General Meeting in Seoul, the Indian Chamber of Commerce in Korea reaffirmed its focus on strengthening bilateral trade ties, welcoming new members to the Board of Governors alongside returning members.

SEOUL: The Indian Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ICCK) has re-elected Ramesh Iyer as its Chairman at the Chamber’s Annual General Meeting held on March 6 at Andaz Seoul, underscoring continuity in its efforts to strengthen India–Korea business relations and expand collaborative opportunities between the two countries.

The AGM brought together ICCK member companies and senior dignitaries, including Gourangalal Das, Ambassador of India to the Republic of Korea, in a show of support for the Chamber’s growing role as a key platform for bilateral business engagement.

In his opening remarks, Iyer, who is also Country CEO of Tata Consultancy Services Korea, introduced the Board of Governors and the ICCK team, while laying out the Chamber’s broad direction for the year ahead. The programme also featured presentations from the Board of Governors, who shared their vision and strategic priorities for the coming year.

Ambassador Gourangalal Das highlighted the strong partnership between the Embassy of India in Seoul and ICCK and officially launched the Chamber’s annual publication at the event.

The ICCK team presented an overview of the Chamber’s performance, growth trajectory and focus areas for the coming year, with continued emphasis on creating meaningful networking platforms and enhancing India–Korea trade and business cooperation.

Expressing gratitude after his re-election, Iyer said, “I am deeply honoured to be re-elected as Chairman of the Chamber. My sincere thanks to the Ambassador and the Board for their trust and vote of confidence. I look forward to continuing our shared mission of strengthening partnerships, fostering innovation, and advancing business collaboration within our vibrant community.”

He added, “Congratulations to the newly elected Board members — I am excited to work alongside you in the year ahead. Kudos to the entire board for a phenomenal 2025 and an even better 2026/27.”

The Chamber also congratulated its re-elected Governors — Dr Inbom Choi, CEO of Sage Strategies; Pankaj Agarwal, Founder and CEO of TagHive Inc.; and Jongbaek Park, Partner at Bae, Kim & Lee LLC. It welcomed newly appointed Governors Kyeong Woo Minn, CEO of Nami Island Arts & Education, and Padmesh Mandloi, VP APAC at Synopsys Inc.

Among those present at the AGM were Nishi Kant Singh, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of India in South Korea; Dr. Inbom Choi, CEO of Sage Strategies; Padmesh Mandloi, VP APAC at Synopsys; Jongbaek Park and Jeremy A. Everett of Bae, Kim & Lee; Anil Sinha, COO of Tata Daewoo; Harns (Nak-Hyoung) Kim of Krafton; Shardul Shroff, Chairman of SAM; Shruti Kinra, Partner at SAM; Vijesh Iyer, CEO of Coupang Pay; Sudhir K. Katiyar, Head of SBI Korea; Sachin Satpute, President APAC at Novelis; Jonghwa Park, Korea CEO of Novelis; Pankaj Agarwal, CEO of TagHive; and Fred Minn, CEO of Nami Island.

With the re-election of Iyer and the appointment of the new Board, ICCK signalled that it is entering the new term with a renewed mandate to build on its momentum and further energise the India–Korea business corridor. The Chamber also thanked its members and partners for their continued support as it moves into another year focused on progress, collaboration and opportunity.
