Gurugram. As we hail the summer, there is an air of festivity at Scottish High International School as the annual show Monkey Business was celebrated with great passion and zeal on May 11.
It was a performance which showcased the multidimensional growth of Highlanders in the school where holistic development is an integral part of the enhancement of different facets of the student.
The school director Sudha Goel heartily greeted and welcomed the guests and she also lauded the efforts of the students for their diligent and assiduous work. She expressed her pride in the young scholars and inspired them to continue to work hard so as to reach the pinnacle of success and mentioned the outstanding results in all curricula followed at the school.
She motivated the students by reiterating the fact that hard work and perseverance paves the way to success.
The chairman Dr. Cdr. Kartikay Saini in his welcome address was extremely appreciative of this endeavour undertaken by all the students and teachers. This is a performance which helps the students assimilate with the new class and in a short span of a month and a few days this tremendous performance was exhibited by them.
The theme for the Monkey Business was “The Mesmeric Melody”, where the Pied Piper of Hamlyn was dramatized into a dance and drama sequence. It was a combination of mesmerizing acting, mellifluous music and captivating dance performances by our enthusiastic Highlanders. It was colourful rendition of a classic tale presented with a modern twist.
In the afternoon show, the deserving students of the academic session of 2018-19 were recognized for their hard work and dedication and were given trophies. Awards were given to students with 100% Attendance, Academic Proficiency along with All Rounder’s, Board Toppers.
Awards were also given to Sports Champions. The best efforts of the students with ‘Special Educational Needs’ were also applauded.
Clan Boyd and Lamont claimed the gleaming trophy for the Best Clan. After the award ceremony, the grand finale ended a wonderful celebration with a bang.
A heartfelt vote of thanks was delivered by students.
