Ritu Agarwal, Country Head – Japan, Russia and Southeast Asia, National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) joins ACN Advisory Board, an Asian Think Tank

An offshoot of the Asian Community News (ACN) Network, the ACN Editorial Advisory Board brings the experts from East Asian countries together on a common platform for strengthening the Indo-Asian relationship and bilateral ties through the media and advocacy.

NEW DELHI. Ms. Ritu Agarwal, Country Head – Japan, Russia, and Southeast Asia, National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, has joined ACN Editorial Advisory Board, an Asian think tank, as an Honorary Board Member.

With this, the ACN Board, which is a media and advocacy platform consisting of experts from East Asian countries like Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and India, gets representation from the central government’s run organization NSDC.

Prior to this, the Board has representation from the government of Taiwan, ROC, and the state government of Haryana.

Peters Li-ying Chen, Assistant Representative, and Director Education, Taiwan’s Taipei Economic and Cultural Center (TECC), Government of Taiwan, ROC, and Pawan Choudhary, Advisor, Haryana Chief Minister, (Foreign Cooperation Department, Haryana Government) have joined the ACN Editorial Advisory Board.

Ms. Ritu Agarwal brings with her a rich working experience of 19 years. She has extensively worked on strategizing and implementing large-scale international and national programs. She has been part of various core teams engaged in curating the institutional model for skill development programs for the Government of India.

She is currently leading the Indo-Japan collaborations in the skill development space at NSDC, mainly the G2G initiatives, including the Technical Intern Training Program (TITP) and the Specified Skill Workers (SSW) programs.

She has worked in Japan for a few months to strengthen the bilateral relationships between the two countries in skill development, focusing on TITP and the IT sector needing highly skilled professionals.

She also led the Prime Minister Skill Development Scheme monitoring, a flagship scheme of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India, to skill the Indian youth and provide livelihood opportunities.

Ritu has previously worked with major corporates such as United Colors of Benetton, Orient Craft Limited, Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services (skills division), to name a few.

In her endeavor to understand the Japanese market deeply, she is learning the Japanese language and aims to gain a command over it in a few years.

ACN Editorial Advisory Board welcomes Ms. Agarwal to this Think Tank, which is all set to get greatly benefitted from her rich experience in the field of skill development.

The board also offers an opportunity to the members to take up issues of common concerns through discussions, deliberations, and brainstorming sessions during physical and virtual meetings.

The Board plans to take the delegation of its members to various heads of state/union governments to discuss various Indo-Asian matters, and prepare Advisory Document and submit the same to the government.

ACN Editorial Advisory Board also offers an opportunity to participate in Webinars/Seminars organized by ACN in which the government representatives/bureaucrats/ministers/Corporate leaders, Academicians/intellectuals from various countries could be invited to participate.
