Sep 21-30: Special Exhibition “Japan from India’s Perspective”

NEW DELHI: As part of the ongoing celebration of the year 2022 as the 70th Anniversary of Japan-India Diplomatic Relations, which both countries are celebrating by organizing a series of commemorative events in India and Japan, the Embassy of Japan is going to organize a Special Exhibition titled “Japan from India’s Perspective” from 21st to 30th September from 11:00 am – 7:00 pm at Art Gallery, Kamladevi Complex, India International Centre in New DelhiThe exhibition displays photographs taken by our Indian friends during their visits to Japan, submitted to the ‘Click! Japan Photo Contests’ over the past five years.

The photographs displayed include the top 10 winning entries as well as other outstanding photos, which depict myriad facets of Japan – ranging from beautiful scenery, Japanese traditional culture, to the latest technology.

It also has a section of selected photographs showcasing landmarks in the trajectory of our bilateral relations , such as, gift of baby elephant to Japanese children, VVIP visits, PM Modi and PM Abe riding a bullet train, and the recent exchange of visits by PM Kishida to India and PM Modi to Japan, etc.

Other attractions of the event include  screening of short films introducing Japanese culture, and Painting Competition for students (class 6-12) and college/university students.
