Glimpse from the previous Korea Street Fair 2024

India Hallyu Street Festival

The Korea Street Fair was first held in April 2023 at 32nd Avenue, Gurgaon, attracting approximately 35,000 visitors and 25 Korean companies, marking a successful launch.

Subsequently, in 2024, the event was significantly expanded under the auspices of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in India. With 29 Korean food, beverage, and retail companies participating and over 62,000 visitors, it established itself as India’s premier K-culture festival.

In 2025, amid global enthusiasm for Korean content, exemplified by the phenomenal success of K-pop group Demon Hunters, the festival will relocate to the World Mark in Aerocity, New Delhi’s central commercial district. It will expand further into an urban K-culture town format, catering to Hallyu fans and Indian consumers.

‘Seoul’s Streets’ unfold in New Delhi

This event will be realised under the concept of ‘Eight Streets of Seoul’.
Iconic Seoul spaces such as Gwanghwamun, Insadong, Myeongdong, Seongsu, Hongdae, Gwangjang Market, Hangang Park, and the Gangnam/COEX Zone will be recreated in New Delhi.

This event aims to vividly convey Korea’s lifestyle and sentiment to local Indians by faithfully recreating the atmosphere of Seoul.

Beyond a cultural festival, it aims to serve as a platform for Korea-India business.

‘K-Vibe Korea Street Fair 2025’ will evolve beyond a mere cultural festival to become a business hub for substantive exchanges between Korea and India.
Through the collaboration between KOTRA and TradeIndia, a B2B consultation session will be held between Korean SMEs and Indian buyers. A business IR session will also be organised, featuring major franchise companies such as Emart24, House Cook, and Myeongdong Ria Car.

Furthermore, K-Vibe will support market entry into India through sector-specific clinics and consultation programmes covering K-Beauty, healthcare, franchising, and more.
Notably, brands recommended by the Seoul Business Agency (SBA) will exhibit their products at the Emart24 pop-up store. This will provide them with the opportunity to gauge the genuine reactions of Indian consumers from the middle class upwards, paving the way for future market entry.

Participation Scale and Expected Outcomes

This year’s event is expected to attract approximately 60 Korean companies and over 100,000 Indian visitors.
The economic impact, including on-site sales and contracts, is projected to reach approximately 90 billion won.

Additionally, events commemorating the first entry of Korean webtoons and web novels into the Indian market, along with influencer live commerce events, will be held.
Notably, K-Vibe is preparing a special project supporting the K-POP debut of Indian youths.
In collaboration with Korea’s Sejong University, Seoul Performing Arts High School, and mid-sized entertainment companies, two Indian participants will be selected. This event will officially announce the opportunity for them to debut as idols in Korea.

A spokesperson from K-Vibe (IBS), the event organiser, stated, “The Korea Street Fair is not merely a festival, but a platform for mutual growth between Indian fans who love K-culture and Korean companies.”

He further expressed his expectations, stating, “It will develop into a ‘global festival integrating culture, business, and content’ created jointly by the government, private companies, Indian media outlets, and businesses. Following the festival, ‘K-Vibe’ will be positioned as India’s premier platform, both online and offline, truly establishing itself as the foremost K-culture-based platform.”
