Titled “Immediate Wisdom Talk – A Dialogue for Happiness”, the session will take place on February 6, 2026, at 6:00 PM at the Korean Cultural Center (KCCI), New Delhi. The event is primarily intended for members of the Korean community in India, with participation on a first-come, first-served basis. The format of the talk will be interactive. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions directly, and Ven. Beopryun Sunim will respond in a dialogue-based format. Organisers describe the session as particularly meaningful for those who feel mentally burdened, emotionally tired, or uncertain about life’s direction. Through the process of questioning and reflection, attendees are expected to experience comfort, understanding, and insight.

About Ven. Beopryun Sunim

Ven. Beopryun Sunim is one of Korea’s most widely known contemporary Buddhist teachers, recognised not only for his spiritual leadership but also for his humanitarian work. A monk of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism, he has dedicated his life to making Buddhist teachings accessible to modern society through clear, practical language rather than abstract philosophy.

He is the founder of Jungto Society, an international volunteer-based Buddhist community that promotes simple living, social engagement, and global responsibility. Under his guidance, Jungto Society has carried out extensive humanitarian and peace activities, including relief and education initiatives in developing regions, interfaith dialogue, and environmental campaigns.

Ven. Beopryun is also known globally for his “Hope Dharma Talks” and “Immediate Q&A Dharma Talks”, where he answers real-life questions from audiences about relationships, stress, work, family, and purpose. His straightforward, compassionate style has drawn large followings in Korea and overseas, including the United States and Europe.

Beyond spiritual teaching, he has been an advocate for peace on the Korean Peninsula and humanitarian support for vulnerable populations. His approach combines Buddhist wisdom with social responsibility, making his talks especially relevant in times of rapid social and personal change.

A Moment for Reflection: With growing interest in mindfulness, mental well-being, and cross-cultural spiritual dialogue in India, Ven. Beopryun Sunim’s visit offers a rare opportunity for the Korean community — and those connected with it — to engage directly with a globally respected spiritual figure.
