Dr Vyjayanti Raghavan, Ex-Chairperson, Centre for Korean Studies, JNU joins ACN Advisory Board, an Asian Think Tank as Honorary Member

An offshoot of the Asian Community News (ACN) Network, the ACN Editorial Advisory Board brings the experts from East Asian countries together on a common platform for strengthening the Indo-Asian relationship and bilateral ties through the media and advocacy.

NEW DELHI. An authority in the Korean language and the 2-times chairperson of Centre for Korean Studies, School of Language, Literature and Cultural Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Dr. Vyjayanti Raghavan, has joined ACN Editorial Advisory Board as an Honorary Board Member.

Dr. Vyjayanti Raghavan, who recently retired from JNU after a 22-year-stint is widely known as being instrumental in setting up the Centre for Korean Studies in JNU.

At Korea Foundation AssemblyIt was in recognition of her efforts in promoting Korean in India that she was awarded by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea Mr. Hwang Gyo-ahn in 2015. She has also been awarded in recognition of ‘Services rendered for the Security of the Nation’ by the Andaman & Nicobar Police in 2008.

ACN Editorial Advisory Board welcomes Dr. Raghavan to this Think Tank, which is all set to get greatly benefitted from his rich experience and insightful ideas and thoughts.

With this, ACN’s flagship initiative Asian Languages & Livelihood Mission 2022, which aims at promoting the Korean, Japanese, and Mandarin languages among the Indian youths in schools, colleges, and technical and management universities, also is likely to get a much-required boost.
