Arasoft’s “Adopting Carbon Net-Zero and Social Contribution through Paperless Publishing” Initiative in New Delhi

It conducted face-to-face training sessions for public officials, educators, entrepreneurs, and other target audiences at Maharaja Surajmal Institute, Janakpuri in New Delhi. NEW DELHI: Arasoft, a prominent technology company recognized for its Green Technology Certification from the Korean government, has launched an ambitious project titled “Adopting Carbon Net-Zero and Social Contribution through Paperless Publishing” in New Delhi. Taking place from June 6th to June 8th, 2023, this three-day project falls within the intangible category of technology and service, aligning with Global ESG Initiatives. Its primary objective is to provide training programs and foster cooperation for the adoption of carbon net-zero practices and paperless publishing.

Dr. In Pyo Hwang, Director of Arasoft and Chief of the Institute of Global Competency Development (IGCD) in Seoul, along with his assistant NG Yong XIN, conducted face-to-face training sessions in New Delhi for public officials, educators, entrepreneurs, and other target audiences. Arasoft generously donated over 20 software packages, including Namo Author, Namo Reader, and AraBook, as well as storage devices to support the training program. These tools enable low-carbon and eco-friendly document management, promoting sustainable value consumption and expanding potential markets in target countries.

The Maharaja Surajmal Institute in Janakpuri, Delhi, hosted the training program, which was organized in cooperation with the Indian Chamber of International Business (ICIB) and KOTRA (Korea Trade Investment Promotion Agency). Also present on the inaugural session on June 6 were  Er. Kaptan Singh, President, Surajmal Memorial Education Society, Manpreet Singh, President, ICIB, Prof H S Rawat, Director TP & IR, Maharaja Surajmal Group of Institutions,  Sarita Rana, Head, International Division, Maharaja Surajmal Institute, Japankpuri, and others.

In his address, Er Singh, President, Surajmal Memorial Education Society said that the bilateral relations between India and South Korea were age-old. “India should leverage the ability of South Korea’s advancement in technology sector especially in the field of agriculture.”

The “2023 KOTRA Global ESG Project” serves as a platform through which KOTRA supports Korean small and medium-sized enterprises in their international Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) endeavors. This support includes facilitating the identification of local partner organizations and providing assistance in organizing events.

Participants were required to possess basic IT skills and a beneficial interest in the curriculum. Individuals with the ability to communicate and write documents in English, along with basic knowledge of eBooks, were preferred. The program covered various aspects of paperless publishing, such as ESG management introduction, eBook and paperless technology trends, utilization of Namo Author software, creation of electronic documents, eBook publishing, and eBook content distribution. During the three-day program, participants also engaged in individual projects, developing business model plans and work application strategies.

Objectives and Expected Outcomes: Arasoft’s project aims to achieve short-term and long-term goals by implementing Paperless Publishing to attain carbon neutrality. The short-term goal involves establishing business networks and securing technology exports through local training and knowledge exchange in 2023. The long-term goal is to establish eco-friendly social communities and foster ESG cooperation between countries through local carbon-free diffusion and systemization.

By reducing environmental pollution through the adoption of Paperless Publishing, Arasoft intends to decrease carbon emissions and improve the efficiency of working with digital documents. The use of eBooks has been on the rise due to advancements in supply and communication technology. This project leverages green IT business, eco-friendly green publishing, and raises awareness about paper consumption, significantly reducing printing and paper usage by storing and distributing documents as electronic files.
