Donated by Japanese Co Svam Toyal, Niramaya Mobile Eye Care van Drishti Rath flagged off

GURUGRAM: Drishti Rath – the mobile eye testing service van run by Niramaya Charitable Trust was back on track on June 3 here when it was flagged off during a gala ceremony in the presence of the galaxy community leaders and social activists.

Costing about Rs. 25 lakhs, the Drishti Rath, which a Japanese company Svam Toyal Packaging Industries Pvt. Ltd has donated with the help of Bodhraj Sikri, the head of Panjabi Biradari Maha Sangathan and Vice Chairman, CSR Trust, Haryana, was launched by revered Swami Dharamdev and at Badhai, Om Sweets Palam Vihar. Gurugram Chief Medical Officer Dr Virendra Yadav was present as the chief guest in this program. The program was presided over by Bodh Raj Sikri. On this occasion, Punjabi Biradari Maha Sangathan also presented five couches to the Civil Hospital, Gurugram for blood donation.

Also present on the occasion were Svam Toyal’s President and Managing Director Katsura (Kei) Morioka, Director & CTO Hiroshi Kubo and financial Controller Yukio Ikda, and Chairman Satish Ailawadi, Dr. Trilok Nath Ahooja, President, Niramaya Charitable Trust.

Svam Toyal’s President and Managing Director Katsura (Kei) Morioka told Asian Community News (ACN) that the though their company had been executing many social welfare projects for many years but the donation of the full-sized van Drishti Rath to Niramaya Charitable Trust was first major CSR activity after the Japanese company took majority stake in Svam Toyal Packaging.

“We will continue to work in this area for further years also as the company is committed to doing more CSR activities in the region,” he added.

In his address Swami Dharamdev said that Drishti Rath is a moving hospital in which all facilities will be available, it will go to the patient. The patient will not need to come. He also was all praise for Bodhraj Sikri for putting his efforts for this organization.

During this, Niramaya Charitable Trust gave a detailed description of its activities and resolved to increase its participation towards the helpless people.

Bodhraj Sikri, in his statement appealed to strengthen the Panchnad Memorial Trust. Simultaneously, he announced the names of fifteen trustees in the program and assured to make fifteen more trustees. In this way, he assured of fulfilling his commitment of making thirty trustees.

Munish Khullar, Vice President of Rotary Blood Center Gurugram also contributed for the education of poor children and sponsored books.

CMO Dr. Virendra Yadav said that Swami Dharamdev Ji Maharaj is an institution. He expressed his commitment to work extensively to make Gurugram anemia-free and TB-free. He also appealed to Swami Dharamdev Maharaj to be an ambassador for these positive initiatives.

Punjabi Biradari Maha Sangathan Gurugram General Secretary Ram Lal Grover also inspired the members of the organization by saying ‘Come do something for Punjabiyat’.

After the program, the sumptuous meal was served by the senior deputy head of the OM group of companies Om Kathuria.

Present on this occasion also included Hitender Ahooja, Anu Ahooja, Om Kathuria, Ram Kishan Gandhi, Ram Lal Grover, GN Gosai Dharmendra Bajaj, Ramesh Kamra, OP Kalra, Jyotsna Bajaj and Jyoti Verma from Women’s Cell, Ankur Aylwadi (Director), Ramesh Kumar Kumar, Jitendra Ahuja, Chitresh Ahuja, Air Marshal Vinod Verma, Dewan Dureja and other prominent personalities of the Punjabi fraternity.
