‘Global India Collaborative’ to play lead role in India achieving $5 Trillion economy target

Global India Collaborative (GIC) launched in Dubai with its Dubai Chapter on Sunday. Soon, it would set up its regional chapters in Britain, the USA, and Singapore in the coming months.

DUBAI (UAE). India needs a larger vision to become a $5 trillion economy and with India becoming an economic superpower the neighboring countries would also benefit and prosper.  

Dr. Ved Pratap Vaidik who is a noted journalist, political analyst, and freelance columnist said this during the launch of the Global India Collaborative (GIC) here in Dubai today on Sunday.

He said that India has been the economic superpower since ancient times and also the focus center of world trade. And traders from across the world would visit India seeking trading and commerce opportunities.

 “GIC would go a long way in promoting the Indian economy, which I have been dreaming about for the past 50 years. We can do our best in many industries including the pharmaceutical and other sectors. For these, however, we need to have a larger future vision. The education sector needs a major transformation as was done by the USA after World War II when it invested 10 percent of its GDP to promote education,” said Dr. Vaidik.

He said that if Asian nations get together, achieving $5 trilion economy was not difficult. India could become even $30 trillion economy in 10 years.

On this occasion, Dr. Vaidik also launched the GIC website www.globalindiacollaborative.com

Apart from GIC delegation representatives from India, noted trade and industry personalities from Dubai were also present on this occasion.

GIC is currently leading a high-power delegation to Dubai on March 25-28 to revitalise MSME Sector and take up other initiatives.

While introducing the very concept behind launching GIC, Santosh Mangal, Global President, GIC said, “An initiative and a platform enabling India to achieve the goal of $5 trillion GDP. Driven by integrity, insight, and vision based on ground realities, we want to make a sustainable, measurable and verifiable positive impact on our society, culture, and business ecosystems by creating a synergy between people, planet and profit.”

On this occasion, the GIC global president Mangal announced that GIC would set up its regional chapters in Britain, the USA, and Singapore in the coming months.

Ashok Bhuwaniwala, India President, GIC introduced the 9-point agenda as the organizational philosophy of the organisation.

“GIC will initiate focussed programmes, partnerships and promotions in 9 sectors to unlock Indian business’s animal spirit to achieve the target. These include Industry, Education, Health, Justice Social, Capital Environment, Media, Ethics and Gender Issues,” Bhuwaniwala added.

Brijesh Mishra – Politician, social worker, and philanthropist and former MLA said that GIC would go a long way in achieving the long-awaited $5 trillion economy as it carried all the necessary elements to realise this dream.

Vandana Singh, former ASSOCHEM vice-president said, “The MSME sector can make the country Atmanirbhar (self-reliant) in manufacturing, tackle the unemployment genie, and create a dynamic and globally competitive industrial innovation eco-system. It also has tremendous potential to empower women by offering largescale equity in India’s growth story.”

In his address, Sahitya K Chaturvedi, President, Indian business & Professional Council (IBPC), also lauded the efforts of the GIC in boosting Indian economy through the newly launched platform. 

Chandrashekhar Bhatia, Chairman, Global Business Federation and CEO of Nilgiri Tradding LLC also address the delegation. Also present were Dr. Deva Solanki, Media Director, Global Business Federation, and Rehan Allahwala, Founder, Insan Party.
