GST Academy’s session draws huge response from industry

In it’s bid to address complexities related to annual filing of Good and Service Tax, the GST Academy LLP and noted taxation consultants Mohit Malik & Co held a session on GST Annual Return and Audit at hotel Park Inn, Gurgaon on December 8.

The event was followed by Open House Discussion on this centralised tax introduced in India in July last year.

The session spearheaded by the veteran tax consultant and advocate Mohit Malik, witnessed huge participation from industry and traders community. The participants largely came from Indian as well as multinational companies with origins in eastern and western Asia, Europe and other continents.

While addressing the gathering, Mohit Malik the founder of GST Academy said that that the session was organised in continuation of efforts to educate the industry on the recent developments in the field of Indirect Taxation and steps to comply with these.

“As you are aware in the GST era, every registered person or company has to file annual return (GSTR-9/9A/9B) and Audit (Form 9C if the turnover is above the specified limits.).Though the due date of filing these forms with the report from the chartered accountants has been extended from Dec 31to March 31, the companies had started to receive notices from centralised taxation offices,” Malik said.

The veteran taxation consultant and corporate lawyer Malik caution the industry that the situation was slated to get even worse because of the complexities if the act.

GST Academy that has the representation of senior corporate & taxation lawyers, chartered accountants, accounting experts, and auditors, has been organising such sessions and seminars on registration, Trans-1 (How to file the return), credit notes etc.
