JECI Unveils JHUB Excellence Skill Center to Boost Indo-Japan Education Ties in Hyderabad
A state-of-the-art hub aims to equip Telangana’s youth with Japan-focused skills and strengthen academic–industry collaboration between India and Japan
Hyderabad: 27 April 2026– After an intensive nine-month incubation and development phase, the Japan Education Center And Information Foundation (JECI) has officially launched the JHUB Excellence Skill Center for Higher Education in Hyderabad, marking a significant milestone in Indo-Japan educational collaboration. The initiative is poised to become a key platform for skill development, academic exchange, and industry alignment between the two nations.
The newly inaugurated JHUB facility is located within the expansive 105-acre campus of the JB Educational Society, a prominent educational group that houses ten colleges and caters to a diverse student population. A dedicated two-storey building has been specially designed and constructed to accommodate the center, reflecting a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, globally relevant training infrastructure.
JHUB aims to offer a comprehensive range of Japan-oriented skill development programs tailored for students across Telangana. These programs will focus on preparing learners for academic opportunities, employment pathways, and professional engagement with Japanese institutions and industries. By integrating language training, technical education, and cultural orientation, the center seeks to bridge the gap between Indian talent and Japan’s growing demand for skilled professionals.
A standout feature of the center is the introduction of “Japan Information Windows,” envisioned as a one-stop access point for students, educators, and industry stakeholders. This platform will facilitate connections between Indian academia and Japanese organizations, offering guidance on higher education opportunities, internships, research collaborations, and career prospects in Japan.
The inauguration ceremony was marked by the presence of officials from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) along with members of the Japanese delegation. Their visit underscores the importance of this initiative in strengthening bilateral ties and fostering long-term cooperation in education and skill development. The event highlighted shared aspirations to build a globally competitive workforce while deepening cultural and academic exchanges.
With India’s increasing focus on skill-based education under initiatives such as Skill India and Make in India, the establishment of JHUB aligns with national priorities while also advancing international partnerships. The center is expected to play a crucial role in empowering students with globally relevant competencies and opening new avenues for cross-border collaboration.
As Hyderabad continues to grow as a major educational and technological hub, the launch of the JHUB Excellence Skill Center further reinforces the city’s position on the global academic map. The initiative stands as a testament to the evolving partnership between India and Japan, promising to create meaningful opportunities for students and institutions alike.
