New Delhi. Prof. M P Poonia, Vice Chairman, AICTE has said that K.R. Mangalam University has the potential to be recognized as a world-class University not only in India but in World, in near future.

Prof. Poonia said this while addressing was the inaugural day of the 2-day International Conference on Advances in Applied Science, Engineering, and Technology (AASET) organized by K.R. Mangalam University on May 20-21, 2021.

Prof. M. P. Poonia, extended his sincere gratitude to the guests, convener, delegates, and participants. He shared his deep knowledge in the strong foundation of students. He focused on empowering the rural areas also, with the intervention of technology. He also explained the need of critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities to increase employability for students.

Padma Shri Prof. Dinesh Singh, Chancellor, KRMU in his address emphasized on the hands-on learning, interdisciplinary learning, and innovative practices in learning. He illustrated his ideas with numerous examples and said, “Good things happen, when good minds put together”. He highlighted the importance of research and innovation in academics and appreciated the efforts of faculty and staff.

Prof. P. Prakash, Vice-Chancellor, KRMU welcomed the chief guest and said “At KRMU we focus on Outcome Based Education and research is the foundation of quality education. This conference will provide a platform for academic deliberations by the experts and researchers.”

The other dignitaries present at the inaugural ceremony were Padma Prof. Dinesh Singh, Chancellor, KRMU, (Former Vice-Chancellor University of Delhi)’; Prof. Srinivasan, Senior Principal Scientist, CSIR, IICT, Hyderabad; Dr. Teerawat Issariyakul, NTPCl, Thailand; Dr. Subash Sharma, Department of Advanced Material, Ensenada, Bajaj California; Prof. Krishan Lal, CV Raman Chair KRMU and Former Director NPL, New Delhi; Prof. Avireni Srinivasulu, Dean, Academics and R&D, JECRC University, Jaipur; Prof. P Prakash, Vice-Chancellor, KRMU; Prof P Tripathi, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, KRMU; & Abhishek Gupta, Chairman, KRMU. KRMU moving ahead on the path of success has always been a forerunner in the area of research and development.

The objective of the two days conference is to learn and share knowledge among all and those who have rich experience and expertise in relevant areas of science and technology.
