NEW DELHI: Continuing its legacy of bringing to the fore the nation’s best talent, LUNA ARTS has once again brought NAKSHATRA(नक्षत्र ) ART FESTIVAL, – a 6-day art exhibition featuring 53 artists from all across India, displaying nearly 140 artworks that include a set of brilliant contemporary paintings and sculptures.

To take off on November 18, this national group art exhibition would remain open until November 23 for public viewing at India’s prestigious All India Fine Arts & Crafts Society (AIFACS), New Delhi. Founded in 1928 by the British India Government to showcase Indian art and artists globally, the All India Fine Arts & Crafts Society (AIFACS) is one of the prestigious and oldest art galleries in India with a strong historical significance.

However, the opening ceremony of this art festival will be held on November 17 evening a day before the launch of this mega event. It will be inaugurated by Dr. Sandeep Marwah (Founder & President of Noida Film City), Dr. Kiran Walia (Senior Congress Politician & Ex Professor of Delhi University), Mamta Bhatt Pandey (Senior Art Conservator at Ministry of Culture, Government of India PM Office) and Padamshree awardee Biman Das (Chairman AIFACS).

This year’s NAKSHATRA (नक्षत्र ) ART FESTIVAL 2023 is the sequel of the previous year’s exhibition NAKSHATRA and has assumed a much bigger scale and scope. The first time it was organized in October 2022 when it featured the artworks of 47 artists. It is going to be the 10th national group art exhibition and the 7th show at AIFACS of LUNA ARTS.

LUNA ARTS is organizing this year’s event around the auspicious occasion of Deepawali and if you believe in astrological science, there is a rare celestial alignment that is happening this year after 400 years. Hence, the title “NAKSHATRA” perfectly relates to the occasion.

LUNA ARTS is a Noida-based registered art venture that organizes Offline (non-virtual) art exhibitions & photography exhibitions in the National Capital Region. It was founded in December 2019 by an artist & entrepreneur Smita Biswas and her brother Tushar.

“We promote those amazing artists who deserve recognition, who are unrecognized by the Indian art industry despite their sheer talent. Art is a metaphysical medium to create a shift in the human consciousness. Through these group art exhibitions we want to promote art & culture and infuse compassion and peace in our human society,” Smita and  Tushar said during an interview with Asian Community News Network.
