Mall, Markets now open till 6.00pm in Gurugram; 1447 Covid 19 cases reported in Gurugram; 960 in NOIDA/Ghaziabad on Thursday

Gurugram (Gurgaon) is fast turning into a hotspot with more than half of the cases reported in the Haryana state are here while NOIDA/Ghaziabad report almost one-third of the cases of entire Uttar Pradesh.

DAILY HEALTH BULLETIN: GURUGRAM/NOIDA: Apart from New Delhi, the Coronavirus spread situation in the key NCR towns – Gurugram and NOIDA is fast turning these cities into dangerous zones where this disease is spreading its wings at a very high speed.

The only relief that came on Thursday was that the district administration allowed the malls and markets to open till 6.00 pm as against its earlier order asking the malls and markets to down their shutters by 5.00 pm. However, the shops selling essential commodities/groceries are exempted from the time and can open 24 X 7 seven days a week.

Gurugram on Thursday reported 1447 new Covid 19 positive cases which are more than half of the total number of cases reported in the entire state of Haryana. Haryana has a total of 2678 Covid-19 cases including eight new variants Omicron reported new on Thursday. The total number of active Omicron cases in Gurugram is three so far.

The number of new Covid-19 positive cases reported on January 1, 2022, in Gurugram was 298, and the number rose to 358 the next day and to 460, 634, 1178, and finally 1447 on January 6.

Likewise, Noida and Ghaziabad contributed to over 960 new COVID cases as Uttar Pradesh’s daily coronavirus tally reported 3,121 fresh COVID cases in the last 24 hours, according to the figures released by the health department.

So, NOIDA/Ghaziabad on Thursday reported new Covid-19 cases, which is almost one-third of the total cases reported in the entire state of Uttar Pradesh.

As per the Health Bulletin issued by the Haryana Health Department on Thursday, 645 people in the district defeated Corona. In view of the increasing spread of the new variant of Corona, Omicron, the Health Department has increased the intensity of the coronavirus testing campaign in the district. During the sample testing of 10748 people in the last 24 hours, this disease was confirmed in 1447 citizens of the district. No new case of Omicron has been reported in the district on Thursday.

At present, as many as 4220 Coronavirus patients are active in the district, out of which 4192 are taking health benefits by staying in home isolation.

So far 23 lakh 44 thousand 319 tests have been conducted under the massive testing campaign being run in the district. Out of which 21 lakh 46 thousand 234 have come negative. Under the ongoing vaccination campaign to get rid of the same corona epidemic, 44 lakh 15 thousand 940 doses of vaccine have been given so far.

District Deputy Commissioner Dr. Yash Garg appealed to the residents of the district and said that all the people must get their vaccination done.
