Mount Abu School organises “Together for Sustainable Future” to celebrate 70th Anniversary of India-Japan Diplomatic Relations, 7th Anniversary of UN’s SDGs
NEW DELHI: Mount Abu School celebrated the 70th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Diplomatic Relations between Japan and India along with the 7th Anniversary of United Nations Sustainable Development Goals with the grand event “Together for Sustainable Future” on September 24, 2022 to enrich young learners about the art, culture and Tradition of Japan and also motivate them towards building a better, peaceful, prosperous, and sustainable planet.
The enthralling event witnessed the presentation of mesmerising ikebanas through the event “Flowers of Friendship that focused upon the flower arrangement to let the Indo Japanese friendship blossom with fragrance of prosperity. The brilliant origami artwork created by the learners combined the essence of Japanese culture with sustainability.
Creative manga scripts and Haiku from the participants of schools across Delhi and NCR was the reflection of Japanese culture interwoven with the UN Global Goals.
This inter-school fiesta with participation of 150 students from 40 schools across Delhi and NCR observed the presence of Ms Yuka Hayakawa, Director, Japanese Language, and Japanese Studies from The Japan Foundation, New Delhi who appreciated the participants for their enthusiasm and profound passion for sustainability.
The School Principal, Ms Jyoti Arora highlighted the strong cultural and civilizational ties between the two countries and encouraged young learners to boost the shared values and beliefs of these two great nations.and make positive choices for strengthening the ties.
She emphasized that through the event the school envisioned celebrating the amazing actions that young learners can take for a better future and empowered young global citizens to propagate the global vision of peace, stability and shared prosperity, based on sustainable development between India and Japan.
