Summer vacation special Korean culture program for Indian students: “Korean culture playground” online content

NEW DELHI: Korean Cultural Centre India provides special Korean cultural content for Indian school students who are entering summer vacation. By providing a multi-dimensional website service that provides a variety of Korean cultural contents, Korean Cultural Centre India aims to provide a Korean culture playground where Indian students can experience and enjoy at home during the hot summer vacation when the temperature approaches 50 degrees Celsius.

The website to experience Korean culture for Indian students (https://www.kccischoolprogram.com/) by KCCI this time has been designed and developed with the concept of allowing students to experience Korean cultural contents as if they are playing an online game. Starting with making user`s own avatar that you can form and decorate with basic K-fashion, beauty, and Hanbok(Korean traditional dress), the website consists of 3D virtual special exhibition featuring the photos of Indian medical units that participated in the Korean War, virtual tour of Korean Cultural Centre India(3D stereoscopic), Korea virtual tour(3D stereoscopic) where you can explore major tourist courses in Seoul, the capital city, and the video contents of Korean cultural performances. As for the video of the Korean culture performance, Korean Cultural Centre India Taekwondo demonstration team`s performance with K-pop song(BTS), and a musical and storytelling theatrical video of Queen Huh containing the legendary love story of Korean King Kim Su-ro and Indian Princess(Sriratna) will be provided.

Korean Cultural Centre India has built up the cultural exchange sisterhood ties (MOU) with 120 schools across India so far, and has been running Korean language and Taekwondo classes, KCCI(Korean Culture Experience) programs, Korean folk tale storytelling performances, and various contest projects such as quiz, essay, and K-pop on the theme of India-Korea friendship.

Hwang Il-yong Director of Korean Cultural Centre India says, “I hope this  online Korean culture playground developed this time can be a small welcome rain to cool off the heat for a while in a situation where students cannot have colorful vacation programs due to the record-breaking heatwave in summer even after Covid situation is over.”
