“I am happy to announce the launch of our First Webinar Series for the college students focusing on ‘Reimagining Campus Placements’. It’s a students-lead movement with the intent ‘Ab Har Student Banega Atmanirbhar’ – Now every student will become self-dependent. It’s a series of Webinars which will take place every Saturday of the month from 5 to 6 pm in the coming months, with first happening on August 29,” said Munish Chawla, Co-Founder of Startup Jeevitam, a Tech-Enabled Livelihood Platform.

The focus would remain to make students aware about the work opportunities available for them. While ‘Reimagining Campus Placement, we will be asking the following five questions.

“First, Why Campus Placements cannot be done digitally where students are at home, corporates do not travel and colleges manage with all the stakeholders? Second, Why Campus Placement cannot be done for both graduate & post-graduate students? Third, Why campus placement be done regularly till every student find work? Fourth, Why Campus Placement be done in Colleges where it has never been done? Especially in Tier 2 & 3 cities?,” exclaimed Chawla, who leads Jeevitam’s strategic engagement with National and State Governments of India, Industry Associations, Corporates & Philanthropy Partners on a wide range of Initiatives involving Livelihood Opportunities to the Vulnerable Segments of the society.

An industry veteran of over 28 years, Munish actively participates in public policy forums in India and is a Member of CII National Committee on Startups & Entrepreneurship.

“And finally, Why Campus Placement be not done for existing students and provide them apprenticeship, internships, Startup, Part-Time, and freelancer opportunities? And to realize this intent we will be launching Part-Timer App for the students during the webinar on August 29,” he added.
