Taiwan’s Culinary Excellence Debuts in Delhi: Shang Palace Hosts Int’l Gourmet Tour
July 4-5: The event “Int’l Tour of Taiwan Gourmet Cuisines” is more than a culinary showcase; it is a testament to the growing cultural and economic ties between India and Taiwan.
New Delhi, India – The vibrant flavors and culinary artistry of Taiwan are set to take center stage in the capital as the “International Tour of Taiwan Gourmet Cuisines” makes its much-anticipated debut at Shang Palace, Shangri-La Eros, New Delhi, on July 4 and 5, 2025.

Organized by the Taiwan Chamber of Commerce in India and the Taiwan Chamber of Commerce in Delhi, under the supervision of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Centre (TECC), New Delhi, this exclusive event promises an immersive journey into Taiwan’s celebrated food culture. Over two evenings, guests will enjoy authentic Taiwanese cuisine, crafted by two renowned chefs specially flown in for the occasion.
Each evening will feature a VIP dinner for 70 distinguished guests, offering an intimate setting to savor a curated menu that showcases the finest of Taiwan’s culinary traditions. Guests will not only enjoy a multi-course meal but also witness live demonstrations by the chefs, providing a unique opportunity to learn the secrets behind signature Taiwanese dishes.
One of the star elements of the event will be the Master Class for Chefs, in which six chefs will participate on July 4.
The event is further elevated by the participation of leading Taiwanese brands, including Kavalan, Taiwan Beer, and bubble tea purveyors, ensuring an authentic taste of Taiwan’s diverse culinary landscape. From artisanal soy sauces by Japan’s number one natural soy sauce maker, Kikkoman, to adding taste to Taiwan’s delicacies, world-class whiskies, iconic bubble teas, and craft beers, the festival will showcase the depth and innovation that define Taiwanese food and beverage culture.
The event venue, Shang Palace, nestled within the 5-star Shangri-La Eros Hotel, brings the art of Chinese cuisine to India’s capital with handcrafted flavours that have been perfected for over half a century. Presenting a unique fusion of mystic Far Eastern ambiance, this signature restaurant offers a delightful taste of traditional cuisine, including a wide selection of exquisite, mouth-watering and provincial delicacies, complemented by authentic Chinese hospitality.
Established in 1971, Shang Palace celebrates the elegance, richness, and dynamism of Cantonese cuisine. With expansive interiors, it includes lavish indoor seating and three private dining rooms.
