KEC India to Host K-Quiz India 2026 Celebrating Korean Language and Culture Among Delhi NCR Students Tommorow
Interactive championship at Jawaharlal Nehru University to feature multimedia quizzes, digital learning, K-pop performances, and cultural exchange activities
New Delhi, May 25, 2026: The Korean Education Centre in India under the Embassy of the Republic of Korea is set to organise “K-Quiz India 2026 – The 1st Korean Language & Culture Quiz Championship for Indian School Students” at Jawaharlal Nehru University on May 26, bringing together students from 12 schools across Delhi NCR in a unique celebration of Korean language, culture, technology, and performance.
Designed as more than a conventional quiz competition, K-Quiz India 2026 will serve as a festival-style educational and cultural gathering where students will engage with Korean culture through interactive quizzes, digital learning activities, performances, and exchange experiences. The event reflects the growing popularity of Korean language and culture among Indian students while also strengthening educational and cultural ties between India and the Republic of Korea.
One of the major highlights of the championship will be an immersive multimedia quiz segment featuring specially filmed videos from iconic Korean destinations including Gyeongbokgung Palace, Insadong, Bukchon Hanok Village, and Gwangjang Market. Through these visually engaging segments, students will virtually explore Korea’s cultural landmarks while answering questions based on observation, storytelling, and cultural understanding.
The organisers said the quiz has been specially designed to move beyond textbook-style learning by encouraging students to experience Korean culture through vivid real-life visuals and interactive multimedia content.
Another key feature of the championship will be the use of an interactive digital quiz system. Around 50 contestants from participating schools will use handheld clicker devices to submit answers live on stage, with scores and results displayed instantly in real time. The technology-driven format aims to create an energetic atmosphere while promoting teamwork, participation, and innovative learning experiences.
The event will also showcase vibrant cultural performances by students from the five KEC Pilot Schools. The performances will include Korean traditional fan dances, Indian classical dance presentations, modern K-pop dance acts, and musical fusion performances blending Korean and Indian artistic traditions.
According to the organisers, K-Quiz India 2026 aims to serve as a meaningful platform where students, teachers, and schools can come together through Korean language and culture while promoting friendship and mutual understanding between India and Korea. The event is part of the broader efforts of the Korean Education Centre in India to expand Korean language education and create more interactive, student-centered cultural learning opportunities for young learners across India.
