The historic encounter, titled the Suzuki Cup, will be held at the Sano International Cricket Ground in Tochigi Prefecture. It will begin at 1 pm local time, or 9.30 am IST, bringing the reigning T20 world champions to Japan for a match carrying significance far beyond the boundary ropes.「スズキカップ」と名付けられたこの試合は、栃木県の佐野市国際クリケット場で開催される。試合開始は日本時間午後1時、インド標準時午前9時30分。T20世界王者のインド代表を日本に迎えるこの一戦は、競技の枠を超えた大きな意義を持つ。

The fixture will launch “Sport 75”, a bilateral initiative intended to promote sporting cooperation, human exchanges and stronger people-to-people relations between India and Japan. India and Japan established diplomatic relations on April 28, 1952, making 2027 the 75th anniversary year. The two governments have designated it the India–Japan Year of Shared Horizons, under which commemorative programmes are expected to be organised across both countries. BCCI Honorary Secretary Devajit Saikia described the fixture as a significant moment that would take the Indian team into new territory and help introduce cricket to a wider audience across Japan and East Asia. Japanese automobile major Suzuki Motor Corporation will be the title partner for the match, while Mitsui Knowledge Industry Co., Ltd. will be its major partner. Ticketing information will be announced through the Japan Cricket Association’s website and social-media platforms.
