Asian Community News – ACN acquires membership of Japan Chamber of Commerce & Industry in India JCCII

With this the total number of Japanese member companies of JCCII has grown to 537 in Delhi NCR. JCCII is the pivotal organization working for the welfare of Japanese companies in India.

NEW DELHI: India’s one of the fastest growing niche news-media platforms Asian Community News Network, also known as ACN Network has become a proud member of the apex body of Japanese companies and prestigious Japan Chamber of Commerce & Industry in India (JCCII).

A formal approval to this effect was accorded during the 2023 General Meeting held on April 23 in New Delhi when Yoshiyuki Enomoto, Chairman & Managing Director, Mitsui & Co. India assumed the charge of Chairman of JCCII for the year 2024.

He has succeeded previous JCCII chief Takuro HORIKOSHI, former CMD, Sumitomo Corp India Pvt. Ltd. Hiroshi Suzuki, Ambassador of Japan to India and Kenji Sugino, Secretary General, JCCII were also present on the occasion.

Five more companies too were awarded membership of JCCII on that day. These companies include Akagane India Pvt Ltd., FedEx Trade Networks Transport & Brokerage Pvt Ltd., JERA Energy India Pvt Ltd., Masayume Edutech LLP, and SBE India Pvt Ltd. The membership of all six companies would become effective from May 1, 2024. The interviews for the JCCII membership were held at its office in New Delhi on April 15. The representatives of these companies also attended the monthly Sanmokukai meeting at the Japan Embassy in New Delhi on April 25.

With this the total number of member companies of JCCII has grown to 537. Mostly of the Japan origin, the JCCII member companies are based in Delhi and NCR towns surrounding the national capital of India.  Based in Green Park in New Delhi, the JCCII always promote Indian business potential for Japanese companies. The JCCII is the pivotal organization working for the welfare of Japanese companies in India. In India, JCCI started in 2006 with 147 Japanese companies as members and today it has grown to 537 (effective May 1, 2024).

ACN Network also organizes social-welfare events to promote India-Japan cultural exchange and knowledge among Indians. In 2022, organized “70th Anniversary India-Japan Friendship Golf Cup with the support of Japan Embassy and JCCII.  Also ACN proudly associated as the Media Partner with the “70th Anniversary of Japan India Diplomatic Relations” celebrations, and supported events i.e. IDEATHON and YABUSAME & TENT PEGGING. As a member of Konnichiwa Japan Club, it also organizes “Konnichiwa Japan Festival” every year in New Delhi, and supported “Namaste Japan festival” as a Media Partner.

ACN is also planning to organise one more India-Japan friendly golf cup in New Delhi NCR as part of the celebration of India-Japan month which organised by the Embassy of Japan in New Delhi in September-October, 2024.

The ACN Network was originally founded by Sanjeev K Ahuja – a media professional with over 25 years of card core journalism experience of working with mainstream national media publications such as The Hindustan Times in various leadership roles like Bureau Chief and Senior Asst. Editor during his 13-year stint in New Delhi/NCR. He also worked with English Daily ‘The Daily Pioneer’ for five years previously besides other publications.  A member of the prestigious & elite Foreign Correspondents’ Club of South Asia (FCC), and International Center for Journalists (ICFJ), USA, he is also VP (Asia) of Media Federation of India (MFI), and National Vice-President of Web Journalists Association of India (WJAI), a Web Journalists’ Standards Authority (WJSA) of News Publishers registered as Self-Regulatory Body (SRB) with the Union I&B Ministry under Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Codes) Rules 2021.
