As regards the story of the movie JR Line – A Train to Destiny, it is about a man from India Khalid who belongs to a conservative family where freedom of thoughts is a rare phenomenon.

His family sends him to Japan to marry a girl of Indian origin in the acquaintances but he ends up meeting a Japanese girl while traveling by train. Khalid’s destiny brought him to JR Line train to offer him an opportunity to reach his destination.

In the background of the story, Khalid is an extrovert and outgoing modern person with a contemporary living style, much against the very philosophy of his parents and other members of his family in India.

This mismatch drives his life into boredom and without much charm as he turns 40 and is yet not married. He doesn’t want to get married to the type of girl who is recommended to him by his parents.

Finally, one fine day he flies to Tokyo to meet his uncle whom he calls Mamujaan. Mamujaan has one daughter Ayesha who was born in Japan and is 30 years old outgoing girl with a modern bent of mind. She was raised and groomed in one of the most modern cities of the world Tokyo and is still unmarried.

Khalid’s family sends him to Japan to his uncle’s place in anticipation that he would like and marry his daughter and settle in his life to lead a happy married life ahead.

However, destiny was written in a different tone for Khalid who always took Ayesha as her sister while the latter really liked him and wanted to marry him as well. So was the desire of the father as well.

However, while going to work Khalid happens to spot a Japanese girl on the train and this happens almost every day when he travels between his uncle’s home and works in Japan.

For a few days, he was noticing that the same girl comes with a mask on her face and gets busy with her mobile phone for a while. He notices that the girl sometimes peeps out of the window casually before taking a long nap and gets down at the same station where Khalid also disembarks.

Interestingly, the Japanese girl also notices Khalid staring at her but doesn’t respond as several months passed, and this went on. Both used to see each other every day, but the conversation did not happen. But finally one day, they speak to each other and get into a love affair.

Now it will be interesting to see if Khalid ends up marrying Ayesha or the Japanese girl as the story evolves further.
