Korea based students assn ISRK to help Indian students win Korean scholarships through live interactive sessions

SEOUL: In its bid to help Indian students dreaming of pursuing higher studies in developed foreign countries like South Korea, and guide them to bag scholarships for the same the Seoul-based Indian Students and Researchers in Korea (ISRK) has announced to organize a series of live interactive sessions detailing about various Korean scholarship options, which various Korean universities and other institutions and professors are offering.

Starting on February 27, the 10-episode live interactive session series will be streamed live on the youtube channel till May 1 for the benefit of the Indian students.

The Indian students and Researchers in Korea (ISRK) led by president Dr. Lailesh Kumar and vice president Iqbal Khazi, is a voluntary support group for the students and researchers of Indian origin in Korea for providing educational, research, social, recreational, job, and community support to them.

According to Dr. Lailesh Kumar, President ISRK these sessions would witness participation of top-notch Korean universities, and these sessions would offer live interaction with Indian researchers based in Korea who will provide detailed information about the applications process, eligibility criteria, various research fields, as well as selection procedures for B.S, M.S, Ph.D., Post-Doctoral, MBA, International Finance, Korean language programs in Korea.

“A scholarship fulfills the dream of students for higher education. The students especially in small towns who cannot afford hefty fees and other expenses of living abroad, the scholarships come a great way to help them pursue higher studies abroad and shape their careers better. Also, they lack knowledge about the source of authentic information regarding scholarships. Here is where our role comes as the Indian researchers based in Korea would share best of their experiences to steer the students to the right kind of study options,” said Dr. Kumar.

The first live session series starting on February 27 would focus on Korea Global Scholarship (GKS) programme such as BS, MS, & Ph.D..

ZUBAIDA HASSAN, MS Student (Chemistry) Yonsei University GKS-G 2021, CHAITALI BHATTACHARYYA, MS Student (Electronics Engineering) Yeungnam University GKS-G 2021, GITIMA DEKA, Ph.D. Student (Pharmacy) Yeungnam University GKS-G 2020, NOOPUR BAGHEL Ph.D. Student (Architecture) Korea University GKS-G 2021, and POOJA SINGH, Ph.D. Student (Bioinformatics) Gyeongsang National University GKS-G 2020 would participate in this session.

Last year too the ISRK had successfully arranged live sessions on different scholarship programs in Korea during the months February-April benefiting around 200 students.
