New Delhi. Union Heavy Industries Minister Mahendra Nath Pandey said Sunday that the sea bridge Ram Setu is not false, and it was the apt work of the Indian engineers of that era.

He lamented it was unfortunate as some people question this logic and refuse to accept it.

While referring to the Institution of Engineers (India)’s assertion, the minister said this was confirmed by the apex organization of the engineers itself. Some people submit affidavits in the court of law to prove Ram Setu did not exist, whereas Ram Setu has been in existence since ancient times.

He said that engineers have also played an important role in the construction of the ancient city of Dwarka.

On Sunday, he was speaking at the 36th Indian Engineering Congress- Centenary Celebrations organized by the Institution of Engineers (India), an organization of India’s top engineers. The theme of the convention is “Engineers for Viable Technology and $ 5 Trillion Economy”, with engineers from across the country participating. The event will end on December 28, 2021.

On this occasion, Mahendra Nath Pandey said that India’s engineers have a very proud history. Glad that the engineers are proudly talking about their ancient culture and history. Otherwise, earlier people were hesitant to even talk about their history. Working on the thinking of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the engineers also believe that we have to take our culture, knowledge, science, and spirituality together in building a modern India.

He said that the engineers of India have proved their capability. Engineers have played an important role in the Corona period. Amidst all the difficulties, due to the efforts of the engineers, the country has today reached second place in the world in the export of PPE kits. Whereas earlier PPE kits were imported. Similarly, there was a crisis of oxygen in the second wave of Corona, the situation was handled within 9-10 days due to the tireless hard work of the engineers.

Calling upon the engineers, he asked them to work towards making the country self-reliant. He said that making the country a five trillion dollar economy is not just a dream, it is a determined thought that everyone has to realize.

On this occasion, President of the Institution of Engineers (India) Narendra Singh said that the history of engineers is very old. Engineers have contributed to India’s glorious ancient history. There is mention of the contribution of engineers in the culture from Ramayana, Mahabharata to Harappan culture and Mohenjodaro. He said that according to Valmiki Ramayana, Ram Setu was built by an engineer named Nala. NASA has also confirmed this bridge in Tamil Nadu in the satellite image. Engineers have also played an important role in the construction of Dwarka, the city of Lord Krishna. All the ancient temples of India, Sudarshan Chakra, weapons etc. attest to the ancient glorious history of the construction engineers.

In this 36th Indian Engineering Congress- Centenary Celebration Convention, Organizing Committee President Dinesh Kumar welcomed all the engineers from all over the country and IEI Director General Major General (Retd) MJS Sayali gave the vote of thanks. On this occasion the organization

Lieutenant General TSA Narayanan, Commandant, Military College of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering (Secunderabad), Lieutenant General Harpal Singh, Engineer-in-Chief of Army Headquarters, VK Yadav, former Chairman of Railway Board, Soma Mandal, and Chief Executive Officer of Steel Authority of India were also present.
