President Lee Jae Myung, Piyush Goyal to address India-Korea Business Forum in New Delhi tomorrow
FICCI and the Federation of Korean Industries to bring together business leaders and policymakers at Bharat Mandapam for talks on manufacturing, digital economy, energy transition and bilateral partnerships.
New Delhi: The India-Korea Business Forum will be organised in the national capital on April 20, 2026, with the Republic of Korea President Lee Jae Myung and India’s Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal set to address the high-profile gathering aimed at deepening economic and industrial cooperation between the two countries. The forum is being organised by FICCI in partnership with the Federation of Korean Industries (FKI) and is expected to serve as a significant platform for business engagement at a time when India-ROK ties are acquiring fresh strategic and commercial momentum.
The event will be held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, and will bring together stakeholders from industry, government and trade bodies from both sides.
The forum has been structured around key sectors that are increasingly shaping the future of India-Korea economic cooperation. The first session will open with an inaugural segment and will then move into a discussion on advanced manufacturing and supply chains, with presentations from the Indian and Korean sides.
This will be followed by a session on the digital economy, again featuring presentations by representatives from both countries, underlining the growing importance of technology-led collaboration in the bilateral relationship.
A special VIP session has been scheduled from 4.40 pm to 5 pm, during which President Lee Jae Myung and Piyush Goyal are expected to address the forum, lending considerable weight to the event and signalling the importance both governments attach to stronger economic engagement. Their presence is likely to generate strong interest among business leaders, investors and industry associations looking for new avenues of cooperation in trade, manufacturing, investment and emerging sectors.
The second session of the forum will begin at 5 pm and will include an MoU signing ceremony, which is expected to highlight tangible business outcomes and new areas of partnership arising from the engagement. This will be followed by a session on energy transition, another priority area in the India-Korea partnership, with presentations from the Indian and Korean sides.
The inclusion of energy transition alongside manufacturing and digital economy reflects the broadening scope of bilateral cooperation, extending from traditional trade and industrial linkages to future-oriented sectors central to sustainable growth.
The India-Korea Business Forum is expected to provide an important opportunity for companies and institutions from both countries to explore stronger cooperation in supply chains, industrial technology, clean energy and digital transformation.
With President Lee’s participation and the involvement of India’s commerce leadership, the event is likely to emerge as one of the key business engagements during the Korean President’s visit to India, while also reinforcing the larger economic partnership between New Delhi and Seoul.
