Suzuki Motorcycle India helps NGO set up Advance Vision Centres in Gurugram, Nuh

Niramaya Charitable Trust & Ahooja Eye and Dental Institute set up two state-of-the-Art Vision Centres for Accessible Eye Care with the support of Japanese automotive company.

GURUGRAM: Niramaya Charitable Trust & Ahooja Eye and Dental Institute recently celebrated a momentous occasion with the grand inauguration of their state-of-the-art Vision Centres in Gurugram and Nuh (Mewat neighboring Gurugram). The Japanese 2-wheeler company donated advance equipment to diagnose three major causes of blindness – cataract, refractive error, and glaucoma corneal diseases. These instruments include an Auto refractor, Anterior segment imaging, Fundus camera, Non-contact tonometer, and Lensometer for two charitable Vision Centres, which are basically outreach clinics for primary eye care.

On July 21, 2023, Niramaya Charitable Trust & Ahooja Eye and Dental Institute organised a moderate Opening Ceremony of the Advance Vision Centres at NAGOMI Family Dining Japanese Restaurant in Gurugram.

Located at Ganga Giri Kutia, Basai Road, Gurugram, and Lady Dr. Prem Sushil Dharamshala, Tauru, Mewat, these Vision Centres represent a significant milestone in the pursuit of accessible eye care for all members of the community.

The event was graced by distinguished special guests, including prominent personalities and representatives from various sectors, who share a common commitment to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with vision challenges. Among the notable guests were Mr. Kenji Sugino (Secretary-General, Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry in India), Ms. Sneha Oberoi (EVP admin and CFO at Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Ltd.), Mr. Takafumi Kubo (Senior Advisor at Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Ltd.), Mr. Hitoshi Mizutani (Senior Advisor – Finance at Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Ltd.), Mr. Sanjiv Sharma (Company Secretary and Head Legal at Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Ltd.), Mr. Sunil Mangla (Company Secretary, DM – Legal & Secretarial), Mr. B R Sikri (Vice-Chairman of the Managing Committee of Haryana CSR), and Dr. Virender Yadav (CMO, Gurugram).
