Unicosmos International School hosts Spring Festival

NEW DELHI: UNICOSMOS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, an IB Candidate premium institution located just off the Golf Course Road – the lifeline of Gurugram, organized Spring Festival in its state-of-the-art premises on February 8.

With primary-grade students from diverse nationalities like Japan, Korea, and India, the school made the event a memorable one with eye-catching live performances on Taekwondo, Karate, and dance by the tiny tots that left the audience spellbound.

What added flavor to the ambiance was the food stalls serving Japanese, Korean and contemporary Indian food delicacies as well as souvenirs during the Spring Festival.

Euy Don Park, Chairman, Presidential Korean Association in India; Kenji Sugino, Secretary-General, Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry in India (JCCII); Jagjit Singh, Director, Imperial Auto Industries; Sanjeev K Ahuja, Editor, Foreign Affairs (Asia), Asian Community News (ACN) Network,  and Manav Mittal, Co-founder, Unicosmos International School gave away prizes to the performing students.

Noriko Nasukawa, Director, Unicosmos and Nihongo Center also addressed the school children as well as the large assembly of their parents.

The interesting aspect of the Spring Festival event was that some of the dance performances were collectively performed by the students from Japanese, Korean and Indian communities sharing the same stage on the bright sunny day.

In his address, Euy Don Park, Chairman, Presidential Korean Association in India told the audience about the strength of the Korean community in Delhi and NCR towns as well as in India.

Kenji Sugino, Secretary-General, JCCII, was all praise for the school co-founder Manav Mittal for conceptualizing the idea of floating a state-of-the-art education platform of international standards with students coming from diverse nationalities.

While elaborating about the event, Manav Mittal said that the school aimed at promoting international culture and heritage, through this Spring Festival.

“We also arrange live baking classes for children, along with Robotic /Coding sessions from renowned International academies.
