The quality of education today decides the tomorrow of the nation. The 21st century is an era of knowledge and New Age Learning. National Education Policy (NEP- 2020) focuses on structural reforms in quality school education to the children of India and girls in particular, ” said Dr. Rawat while addressing education officers of district Palwal in a webinar titled “Vidhya Education by a mobile app to provide quality education to students free of cost”.

Dr. Rawat further said that VidhyaApp developed by IIT Delhi Alumni, was a digital media to provide quality education free of cost to fulfill the hopes and aspirations of the youth of new India for a bright future even during times of Corona pandemic. It’s a small step in the direction of making Atam Nirbhar Bharat of tomorrow.
Dr. Rawat elaborated that the literacy rate in Haryana state is 76% and the female literacy rate is 66%. There are some areas of the state where the literacy rate is very low. The literacy rate in districts of Palwal and Mewat is 69% and 54% respectively. If we look at the female literacy rate it is 50% and 37% respectively. There is a huge gap and it is a matter of concern for modern India.
Keeping in view these facts we have taken a lead with IIT Delhi Alumni to provide free quality education by Vidhya app to students of government schools. This platform is available for teachers, principals and students to keep online learning even during these difficult times of Covid19.
The initiative which has been started from Palwal district today will be launched in Haryana and then throughout India. Our aim is to make the children of poor sections in the country self-reliant.

After watching the videos, children will also have to give a test. Students will be assessed on the basis of marks. Efforts are being made to provide incentives to topper students to motivate them.
Gaurav further elaborated that Vidya App has an agreement with NEEV- an IIT Delhi Alumni initiative on education and KBC welfare society Palwal to cooperate and coordinate in implementing the Vidhya App and other social activities and to make the mission successful.
