New Delhi/Gurugram: In a significant recognition of JMV Hyundai’s growing position in Hyundai Motor’s India network, a senior delegation from Hyundai headquarters visited the dealership’s Gurugram facility on May 28, giving a fresh boost to the dealership’s profile as one of North India’s most prominent Hyundai sales and service centres.

The visiting delegation was led by Keun Joo Jung, Executive Vice President – Automotive Planning Sub-division, HKMC. The delegation also included two Vice President-level members from Hyundai Motor Company, one member from HMI Product Planning, Sung Woo Park from Network Development, Rajat Goel from Network Development, Ritesh Srivastava from Network Development, and Eroz Singh from Network Enhancement.

JMV Hyundai Chairman Harish Ghai received and welcomed the delegation at the dealership. The visit was marked by warmth, customer engagement, and a visible message of confidence in the dealership’s role in strengthening Hyundai’s customer connect in the National Capital Region.

One of the key highlights of the occasion was the ceremonial handing over of keys of new Hyundai cars to buyers by the head of the visiting delegation. The gesture gave the visit a direct customer-facing character and reflected Hyundai’s emphasis on making the car delivery moment memorable for buyers.

The visit was not merely a routine dealership interaction. It carried wider importance because Hyundai’s senior global and India-level representatives engaged with a dealership that has emerged as an important face of the brand in the region. JMV Hyundai has, over the years, built a strong reputation for combining sales, service, customer care, technical support and community engagement under one roof.

For Hyundai Motor, dealership experience has remained an important part of its India strategy. In a competitive automobile market like India, where customer loyalty is shaped not only by product design and pricing but also by delivery, after-sales support, service quality and personal engagement, dealerships such as JMV Hyundai play a major role in sustaining brand trust.

The May 28 visit also came at a time when Hyundai Motor India has been sharpening its focus on product planning, customer experience, network development and network enhancement. The composition of the visiting team itself reflected this approach, as the delegation included senior representatives connected with automotive planning, product planning, network development and network enhancement.

JMV Hyundai’s leadership welcomed the interaction as an encouraging moment for the dealership and its customers. The presence of a senior team from Hyundai headquarters was seen as a strong acknowledgement of the dealership’s contribution to Hyundai’s presence in North India.

The event also offered the visiting delegation an opportunity to understand the expectations of customers in Gurugram and the wider NCR market. Gurugram, being a major corporate, residential and mobility hub, has remained an important market for premium and mass-segment passenger vehicles. The city’s customer base includes business owners, professionals, expatriates, first-time car buyers and families looking for technologically advanced and reliable vehicles.

JMV Hyundai has often positioned itself not just as a sales outlet but as a complete automobile experience centre. Its operations have included new car sales, service, used cars, insurance, finance, accessories and customer support. With company-trained technicians and modern workshop facilities, the dealership has worked to strengthen customer satisfaction and after-sales relationships.

The latest visit added another chapter to JMV Hyundai’s history of hosting important Hyundai-related events and leadership interactions.

In March 2022, Unsoo Kim, then newly appointed Managing Director of Hyundai Motor India Limited, visited JMV Hyundai in Gurugram. That visit was significant because it was reported as his first visit to any dealership in Hyundai Motor India’s large dealership network after taking charge as MD. JMV Hyundai’s leadership had received him at the facility, and the visit had underlined the dealership’s importance within Hyundai’s India ecosystem.

In January 2024, JMV Hyundai hosted a high-profile launch event for the new Hyundai Creta in Sohna, Gurugram. The event took place soon after the national unveiling of the 2024 Creta and was attended by senior dignitaries, including civic and police officials, business leaders and representatives from Hyundai Motor India. Harish Ghai had described the occasion as a historic beginning to the new year for the dealership.

In March 2024, JMV Hyundai celebrated its sixth anniversary with a grand cultural and prize distribution ceremony at its premises. The celebration was attended by senior Hyundai management and prominent guests. The event also stood out for the large-scale participation of JMV Hyundai’s women employees in cultural presentations, reflecting the dealership’s internal team spirit and inclusive work culture.

The dealership had also been associated with industry and community gatherings. In November 2023, the Progressive Federation of Trade and Industry hosted a “Chai Pe Charcha” business meeting at JMV Hyundai, where Harish Ghai shared his entrepreneurial journey and spoke about the challenges and experiences behind building the JMV Motors brand.

The May 28 visit by the Hyundai headquarters delegation therefore fitted into a larger pattern of JMV Hyundai emerging as a preferred venue for important Hyundai and industry-linked engagements in Gurugram.

For customers present at the dealership, the ceremonial key handover by the visiting delegation added a special emotional value to the car-buying experience. For the dealership, it reinforced its position as a bridge between Hyundai’s global leadership, Hyundai Motor India’s network teams and local customers.

The visit also came at a time when Hyundai has been reinforcing its India plans with new products, stronger customer experience initiatives and expanding attention to mobility transformation. With India remaining one of Hyundai’s most important markets globally, dealership-level execution will continue to be crucial for translating the company’s larger strategy into customer trust on the ground.

By welcoming the Hyundai headquarters team and hosting a customer-focused key handover ceremony, JMV Hyundai once again highlighted its role as an important Hyundai dealership in North India. The occasion reflected not only a corporate visit but also the continuing importance of strong dealer networks in shaping the future of the automobile business in India.

The delegation’s visit also coincided with an important milestone for Hyundai Motor India, which celebrated its 30th Foundation Day on May 6, 2026, marking three decades of manufacturing excellence, customer trust and mobility transformation in the country. The event also witnessed a ceremonial 30-Year cake cutting.

Since entering the Indian market in 1996, Hyundai has grown into one of India’s largest automakers and exporters, building a strong presence across passenger vehicle segments and establishing itself as a trusted mobility brand for millions of Indian customers. Against this backdrop, the visit of the Hyundai headquarters delegation to JMV Hyundai in Gurugram carried added significance, as it reflected the company’s continued focus on strengthening its dealer network, enhancing customer experience and deepening its engagement with one of its most important global markets.
