India’s 14-Year-Old Golf Prodigy Shiksha Jain Swinging Toward Olympic Glory
Surat-born athlete ranks among India's Top 3 in Girls U-14 category, eyes 2028 Los Angeles Olympics
Jaipur/Surat (India) – In a country where cricket dominates the sporting narrative, 14-year-old Shiksha Jain is scripting her own extraordinary story from the fairways of Indian golf. Ranked among the Top 3 golfers in the Girls Under-14 category in India, Shiksha is not only winning tournaments but also hearts across the nation with her determination, discipline, and dreams of bringing Olympic glory to India.

Originally from Surat, Gujarat, Shiksha has already amassed an astonishing tally of over 90 national tournament victories and has received more than 187 invitations to international events in Asia, Europe, and the United States. Among her prestigious wins are the IGU events, Shubhankar Sharma International Series, and the TSG Zion Hills Tour, making her one of the most decorated junior golfers in the country.
Currently training in Jaipur due to the lack of advanced golfing infrastructure in her hometown, Shiksha dedicates over 10 hours daily to refining her game and strengthening her fitness under the guidance of Dronacharya Awardee coach Mr. Jessi Grewal. Her vision is clear: to climb the global rankings and represent India at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, where she aims not only to participate but also to bring home a gold medal.
“Golf may not be a mainstream sport in India, but I want to prove that passion and hard work can break barriers,” says Shiksha. “My dream is not just personal—it’s about inspiring a generation of young athletes, especially girls, from smaller cities.”

Shiksha’s story is one of quiet resilience and fierce ambition. Her journey began in 2018, and in just seven years, she has risen to become a symbol of perseverance in a sport that demands mental strength, strategic acumen, and physical endurance. Her achievements include wins at the Indorama Ventures Open, NCR Cup, and Kissan Golf Cup, as well as consistent podium finishes in IGU junior championships, U.S. Kids Golf India tours, and international qualifiers such as the PPTV International Junior Championship in Thailand and the Junior Africa Challenge in South Africa.
Off the greens, Shiksha also envisions herself as a changemaker. Her long-term mission includes promoting sustainability in golf, advocating for female participation in sports, and using her platform to support education and health initiatives in underprivileged communities.
Backed by her family and fueled by a relentless work ethic, Shiksha’s path to Olympic success is structured through a detailed five-year plan. This includes transitioning into senior-level tournaments by 2026, gaining exposure on European and American tours, and targeting a place among the Top 50 globally before 2028.
Her journey has already garnered media attention, with features on leading platforms such as Dainik Bhaskar, News18, Hindustan Samachar, and Health India Today. She remains active on social media, building a strong personal brand to inspire and engage with young athletes.
As she prepares for her next phase of competitive golf, Shiksha Jain is not just aiming at the pin—she’s aiming to redefine India’s sporting legacy.
“I am not just playing for titles; I am playing to inspire, to break barriers, and to bring glory to my country.” – Shiksha Jain
