Hyderabad, June 22: In a significant boost to India–Japan economic cooperation, Indobox India Private Limited has launched J-Gate, a first-of-its-kind business collaboration hub in Hyderabad aimed at simplifying market entry and fostering long-term growth for Japanese companies in India. The initiative seeks to create a dynamic ecosystem where Japanese enterprises can connect with Indian businesses, industry experts, academic institutions, and innovation partners, further strengthening bilateral trade and investment.

Located in Hyderabad’s Cyber Gateway business district, J-Gate has been established as a strategic platform to bridge Japan’s business community with one of India’s fastest-growing innovation ecosystems. The hub is powered through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Indobox India Private Limited and Genesys Info X, combining international business networks with local expertise to support Japanese businesses in building a sustainable presence in India.

Speaking on the occasion, Daisuke Tanji, Founder of Indobox India Private Limited, said that strengthening economic ties between India and Japan requires more than business introductions. He emphasized that companies need an environment where they can collaborate, exchange ideas, and grow together, adding that J-Gate has been created to serve as that gateway for Japanese businesses entering the Indian market.

The inauguration ceremony witnessed the participation of nearly 50 distinguished guests, including global business leaders, entrepreneurs, Japanese expatriates, university students, and representatives from Woxsen University and ecosystem partners such as MXC, DMI, Kodryx AI, and The Hyderabad Anime Club. The facility was jointly inaugurated by Daisuke Tanji and Viinay Sarikonda, CEO of Genesys Info X, highlighting the collaborative vision behind the initiative.

Adding a cultural touch to the celebrations, guests were welcomed with traditional Japanese hospitality through Daifuku Mochi, symbolizing good fortune, along with authentic Japanese green tea, reflecting the spirit of Omotenashi.

The event also featured a congratulatory address by Naoto Nakadate, Senior Director of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), who highlighted Hyderabad’s growing importance as a destination for Japanese investment and reaffirmed JETRO’s commitment to deepening economic engagement between India and Japan.

J-Gate’s Advisory Council includes two prominent leaders associated with Hyderabad’s innovation ecosystem—Sujit Jagirdar, former CIO of T-Hub, and Srinivas Rao Mahankali, former CEO of T-Hub. Addressing the gathering, both advisors praised Daisuke Tanji’s vision for strengthening India–Japan collaboration and assured their continued support in helping Japanese companies integrate into Hyderabad’s thriving startup and technology ecosystem.

Designed to provide much more than office space, J-Gate offers businesses trusted local partnerships, operational support, strategic guidance, and access to established professional networks. Demonstrating the immediate relevance of the initiative, two Japanese companies planning to expand into India have already joined the platform as founding members.

With trade and investment between India and Japan continuing to grow, J-Gate aims to become a central hub for bilateral business development, encouraging innovation, knowledge exchange, and cross-border partnerships. By connecting opportunity with execution, the initiative is expected to play a key role in strengthening the India–Japan business corridor and creating new avenues for economic cooperation in the years ahead.
