Gurugram: 26 April 2026: The School of Medical and Allied Sciences (SMAS), K. R. Mangalam University, is organizing a two-day international conference titled “Pharma and Allied Sciences in the Age of AI: Innovations and IPR Strategies (PASAI-2026)” on 27–28 April 2026 in hybrid mode. The conference is expected to attract participation from over 600 delegates from India and abroad, including academicians, researchers, industry experts, policymakers, intellectual property professionals, and students.
The conference is supported by esteemed organizations such as the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), and the Haryana State Council for Science and Technology. Several university bodies—including the Research and Development Cell, Intellectual Property Rights, Legal and Ethics Cell, KEIC Foundation, Centre of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence, and the International Relations Cell—are actively contributing to the successful organization of this prestigious event.
PASAI-2026 aims to provide a dynamic platform for stakeholders to deliberate on the transformative role of artificial intelligence in drug discovery, healthcare innovation, pharmaceutical sciences, and intellectual property commercialization.
The conference will feature keynote lectures, technical sessions, panel discussions, poster and oral presentations, along with specialized workshops on patent search and drafting. Selected participants will receive patentability reports, and promising innovations will be supported with expert guidance for patent drafting and filing.
The inaugural ceremony will be graced by distinguished dignitaries including Dr. Ashok A. Sonkusare, Deputy Adviser (Science & Technology), NITI Aayog; Harish K. Jain, National President, FOPE & Director, Embiotic Laboratories Pvt. Ltd.; and Dr. Vipul Kumar Gupta, Vice President & Head – Corporate Affairs & Policy, Cipla Limited.
The keynote address will be delivered by Dr. Vipin Shukla, Scientist ‘G’ and Head, Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India.
The conference will also host eminent speakers from premier institutions such as IIT (BHU) Varanasi, Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University, NIPER Mohali, BITS Pilani, and Banaras Hindu University, ensuring a rich exchange of knowledge and ideas.
