Bounce Back Into Life, Come Out From Ongoing Crisis

In the recent past, I had come across this video in one of the college Whatsapp groups wherein a woman bounces back in life using a five seconds trick. So every time during the day she experienced anything not positive, she would count Five, Four, Three, Two, One to talk herself out of that moment, she would use the choice to go from autopilot to become a decision-maker.
I believe it’s so relevant in the context of the ongoing crisis where many of us need to make the required changes, take decisions, and Bounce Back into Life. We have to probably do things that are difficult, uncertain, or scary. I think it’s in our interest to talk out to ourselves, change how we make our decisions, and bounce back.
Success is how you bounce back after you hit bottom ~ General George Patton. We have to talk out to ourselves when the ongoing crisis passes, what fundamental changes will it leave behind? And how can we adapt the way we work and live, to meet that “New Normal”?
In our Startup Jeevitam, We find trying to visualise what the world will look like after the ongoing crisis is over, a positive source of motivation. It allows us to take a break from the “fire-fighting” mode. These are some of the things that we think that people will focus more on: increasing resilience, GiG Economy Jobs will be in demand. Lean and flexible corporate setups, Freelancer & Part-Time Jobs will thrive. Developing more caring and flexible working cultures, including Work From Home, Distributed Workforce will scale up.
I think in the ongoing crisis our capacity to bounce back is critical to maintaining our mental and physical health. Paradoxically, however, building capacity to bounce back is best done precisely when times are most difficult—like the present one where we are facing the most upending challenges, we are at the greatest risk of misfiring with our reactions and many of us are blindest to the opportunities presented.
I believe these are all the more reasons, then, to use the bounce back regimen to tamp down unproductive responses to adversity, replace negativity with creativity and resourcefulness, and get things done despite real or perceived obstacles.
