Japanese airline ANA Mumbai to fly 7 times a week from 29th March
Current five-weekly operations to become seven per week until July 17; Delhi–Haneda route to continue daily service under FY2026 schedule
Tokyo / Mumbai, January 20, 2026: Strengthening air links between India and Japan, All Nippon Airways (ANA) will upgrade its Narita–Mumbai service to daily operations beginning March 29, 2026, marking a significant boost in capacity on the India–Japan corridor. The move is part of ANA Holdings’ broader plan to expand its international network amid rising global travel demand.
At present, the Narita–Mumbai route (NH 829/830) operates five round-trips per week — on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Under the new schedule, this will increase to seven round-trips per week, effectively providing daily nonstop connectivity between Mumbai and Tokyo Narita from March 29 to July 17, 2026.
This enhancement is expected to benefit business travellers, students, tourists, and the growing India–Japan economic corridor by offering greater flexibility and smoother connections to ANA’s global network.
However, ANA noted that the increase is seasonal. After July 17, the Mumbai service will be adjusted to three weekly round-trips (Tuesday, Friday, Sunday) for the period July 18 to August 31, 2026, reflecting demand patterns during that phase.
The Mumbai expansion is part of ANA’s FY2026 international strategy, under which the airline plans to operate at 105% ofits previous international capacity levels. The airline is fine-tuning routes and frequencies worldwide to better align with seasonal demand while maintaining network efficiency.
Alongside the Mumbai development, ANA will continue its daily service between Haneda (Tokyo) and Delhi (NH 837/838), maintaining seven round-trips per week on this key route. This ensures that India’s two largest aviation gateways—Delhi and Mumbai—remain connected to both of Tokyo’s major international airports, Haneda and Narita, strengthening bilateral travel and commercial flows.
ANA Holdings, Japan’s largest airline group, operates three airline brands — ANA, Peach Aviation and AirJapan. ANA continues to hold the prestigious SKYTRAX 5-Star rating and has received multiple global recognitions for service quality, leadership and sustainability performance. The India route expansion underscores the airline’s confidence in the long-term growth of the India–Japan travel market.
