Hyderabad, India – Indobox Academy, the language education division of Indobox India Private Limited, was formally inaugurated in Hyderabad on February 25, marking a significant step toward strengthening Indo–Japanese educational collaboration. The launch brought together leadership, academic representatives, international interns, and students from both India and Japan in a ceremony that combined institutional vision with cross-cultural engagement.

The inaugural program commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, symbolizing knowledge, partnership, and new beginnings. The event was led by Daisuke Tanji, Founder and Director of Indobox India Private Limited, alongside Mariko Hanaoka, Co-Founder and Director. They were joined by Tomio Isogai, Senior Advisor of Indobox Inc, and Dheeraj Yenneti, Assistant Manager at Indobox India Private Limited.

The ceremony was further supported by Dr. Viinay Sarikonda, CEO of Genesys Informatics X, which is facilitating the offline classroom infrastructure for the Academy at VSSR Square, HITECH City, Hyderabad. During the program, an official Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between Indobox India Private Limited and Genesys Informatics X, formalizing their collaboration in delivering structured, in-person Japanese language instruction.

In his address, Mr Tanji emphasized the growing demand for Japanese language proficiency in India and highlighted the shortage of quality offline Japanese language institutions in Hyderabad. The establishment of Indobox Academy seeks to address this gap by offering systematic, classroom-based instruction aligned with industry and academic pathways.

The Academy announced the commencement of N5-level Japanese language classes to be taught by a native Japanese instructor. The program is designed to provide linguistic accuracy, cultural immersion, and foundational proficiency for students pursuing higher studies, professional engagement, or long-term collaboration with Japan.

Several students from Nagoya University, Chukyo University, Chubu University, Hitotsubashi University, Shiga University and an MBA student from the Indian School of Business (ISB) and a professor from Chukyo University. The exchange fostered early cross-cultural dialogue in the classroom, reflecting the Academy’s broader objective of building practical, people-centred Indo–Japanese engagement.

As part of its additional activities, the Academy has said that it’d like its language courses to be taught by native Japanese teachers to preserve the authenticity of the exchange. As the N5 level language classes have already commenced, for people looking to take N4 level classes, the classes will commence around April.

For an Indian person to work at a Japanese company in Japan, the N3 level of the language is required. Indobox Academy aims to facilitate employment by offering N3-level classes soon. Since the language isn’t the only requirement, but also business etiquette and discipline, Indobox Academy also aims to train its students in such areas to make them field-ready.

As part of these activities, Indobox India Private Limited is already a specialist in connecting with and establishing strong relationships with Japanese business delegations to broaden the scope of applicable recruitment. This would be done through regular job fairs, for which there’ll be advance notifications. All of this is secured by an end-to-end employment support service “IndiGate” provided by Indobox Inc, Japan as a recruitment agency.

Approximately 50 students participated in the inauguration ceremony, which successfully initiated the Academy’s first three trial class days. The strong turnout and active engagement signaled clear interest in structured, offline Japanese language education in the region.

With its formal inauguration complete, Indobox Academy positions itself as a focused, institution-driven platform to advance Japanese language proficiency and strengthen educational ties between India and Japan.
