The presentation on Indian University (JNU, DU, etc.) entrance/admission process, Prof. KIM Tae Hong, Jawaharlal Nehru University delivered an insight about the Indian education system. It was meant for the Korean residents who have been residing outside Korea for a very long time and wish to pursue their further education under the care of prestigious Indian Universities.

According to Prof KIM, every university in India provisions some percentage of quota for the admission of foreign students such as JNU’s Centre for Korean Studies (CKS) has 15 percent and DU 10 percent. This percentage is separate of the seats reserved for the students with PIO and OCI.

The ‘Career Consultation Session 2023’ focused on explaining the Indian education system while featuring the differences by comparing it to the Korean Education system. As the admission process for foreign students is different from local residents in India, this presentation featured universities like JNU and DU as examples to explain the process of admission, and other requirements including the eligibility criteria.
