Korean Assn in Bengaluru & Andhra Pradesh (KABA) Hi-tech Donates Surveillance Drones to Penukonda Police

Penukonda, Andhra Pradesh – The Bengaluru-Andhra Pradesh Korean Association has stepped forward to contribute to strengthening local security in India. On December 2nd, the Association donated day-and-night surveillance drones and high-performance CCTVs to the Penukonda Police Station in Andhra Pradesh.

Through in-depth discussions with the Penukonda Police Station, the Korean Association identified the essential equipment needed to improve security and proceeded with the donation following an official request from the police. Notably, the Penukonda Police Station also prepared its own systems and control equipment to effectively operate the donated gear, further solidifying the mutual will to cooperate between the two parties.

​The greatest significance of this collaboration is that it has established a sustainable partnership with the police department. This partnership not only improves security in areas where many Koreans reside but also provides practical assistance to local residents. Through this initiative, the Korean community is seen to have built a solid foundation for securing continued cooperation from police authorities in the future.

​Jung Young-ho, President of the Bengaluru-Andhra Pradesh Korean Association, clearly demonstrated the Korean community’s commitment to local contribution through this donation.

​”We will steadily increase cooperative relationships with Indian government agencies to enhance the image of the Korean community and expand the safety net in the Bengaluru and Penukonda regions, where many Koreans live,” President Jung stated.

He further expressed his determination, adding, “The Association will continue to expand its role in contributing to the local community.”

​[페나콘다] – 벵갈루루-안드라프라데시 한인회가 인도 현지 치안 강화에 기여하기 위해 팔을 걷어붙였다. 한인회는 지난 12월 2일, 안드라프라데시주 페나콘다(Penukonda) 경찰서에 주간 및 야간용 드론과 고성능 CCTV를 후원했다고 밝혔다.

​이번 후원은 카르나타카주 경계 지역에 위치한 페나콘다 지역의 치안 취약점을 보완하고, 지역민들의 안전을 실질적으로 향상시키기 위한 목적에서 이루어졌다. 이 지역은 주 경계에 있어 불법 차량 통행이 잦고, 노상 절도 및 차량 사고 위험이 높아 첨단 장비를 통한 감시 및 대응력 강화가 필수적이었다.

​한인회는 페나콘다 경찰서와의 심도 깊은 논의를 통해 치안 향상에 필요한 필수 장비를 파악하고, 경찰서 측의 공식 요청을 받아 이번 후원을 진행하게 되었다. 특히, 페나콘다 경찰서 역시 장비를 실질적으로 운영할 수 있는 시스템 및 콘트롤 장비를 자체적으로 준비하며 양측의 협력 의지를 다졌다.

​이번 협력의 가장 큰 의의는 다수의 한인들이 거주하는 지역의 치안 향상뿐만 아니라, 지역민들에게 실질적인 도움을 제공하는 지속 가능한 협력 관계를 경찰국과 조직했다는 점이다. 이를 통해 한인들은 앞으로도 경찰 당국의 꾸준한 협조를 얻을 수 있는 공고한 관계를 구축하게 되었다는 평가다.

​정영호 벵갈루루-안드라프라데시 한인회장은 이번 후원을 통해 한인 사회의 지역 공헌 의지를 명확히 했다. 정 회장은 “많은 한인들이 거주하는 벵갈루루와 페나콘다 지역에서 한인 사회의 이미지를 제고하고 안전망을 확장하기 위해 인도 정부 기관들과의 협력 관계를 꾸준히 늘려나갈 것”이라며, “한인회는 지역 사회에 기여하는 꾸준한 역할을 확대해 나갈 것”이라는 의지를 표명했다.
