New Delhi, India – Delhi is set to play host to one of Asia’s most consequential art fairs as ART ASIA DELHI 2025 prepares to open at Yashobhoomi, the India International Convention and Expo Centre, from September 25 to 28. The event, jointly curated by Korea’s ART ASIA-KINTEX organisation and a diverse consortium of Indian and Korean cultural partners, seeks to redefine cross-border engagement for the region’s art industry, blending high-level business networking with cultural diplomacy at an unprecedented scale.

At the heart of this significant initiative are two influential leaders shaping the Asian art and exhibition sectors. Dal Seung Hwang, known for founding the Keumsan Gallery and pioneering the Korea International Art Fair (KIAF), brings three decades of international art fair expertise to the project.

He is joined by Jae Yul Lee, CEO of KINTEX, South Korea’s premier exhibition venue, who has a reputation for orchestrating large-scale events and expanding the Asian MICE ecosystem. Their combined leadership is galvanised by institutional support from the Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Korean Cultural Centre India, and corporate sponsors including LG Electronics, Korean Air, Shinhan Financial Group, and AFW Partners.

This collective effort is designed to deliver a transformative experience, uniting more than ten Asian countries under the fair’s roof, including China, Hong Kong, Japan and Taiwan, and extending a broad invitation to global art buyers, the MZ generation, and top-tier collectors.

Yashobhoomi, chosen for its monumental scale and world-class amenities, stands less than ten kilometres from Indira Gandhi International Airport and the vibrant Aerocity luxury district. With more than 11,000 square metres allocated for displays, and a history of hosting G20 events, Bharat Tex, and Parliament 20 summits, Yashobhoomi signals Delhi’s emergence as a commanding force for global art, lifestyle, and diplomatic gatherings.

This year’s fair promises special VIP programmes, including exclusive tours of Delhi and Gurgaon’s thriving galleries, studio meetings with frontline Indian artists, and intimate networking receptions for business, art, and diplomatic figures at Aerocity. Ticketing will be managed by BookMyShow, India’s largest outreach platform, ensuring widespread public engagement and seamless access for domestic and international audiences.

ART ASIA DELHI 2025 is meticulously designed to showcase outstanding artistic talent and foster new intersections in contemporary culture. The Masters Special Exhibition, co-curated by Bummo Yoon, President of the Gwangju Biennale, will present works by such giants of Korean and Indian art as Seobo Park, Lee Bae, and Bose Krishnamachari.

Their pieces will highlight both the legacy and forward momentum of Asian artistic traditions. Simultaneously, the Emerging Artists Special Exhibition will provide a platform for rising voices tackling the boundaries between tradition and modernity. Printmakers and collaborative exhibitions from both Korea and India will explore the convergence of classic and modern print techniques, offering insights into how these visual cultures have been interwoven over time.

Other programming includes inventive reinterpretations of Korean craft, new media installations leveraging AI and VR technology, and experimental sculptural and photographic works. These curatorial projects, supported by LG Display and leading galleries, further reflect the fair’s ambition to expand beyond commercial art sales, fostering a dynamic event where creative innovation, technology and regional identity meet.

The art forum will gather participating artists, critics, and critical thinkers from across the Indian contemporary art scene, inviting in-depth debate on creative practice and the future direction of contemporary expression.

This edition marks ART ASIA DELHI’s inaugural link in an envisioned “local-to-global” chain, with future events planned for Mumbai, Tokyo, and Singapore. For Indian galleries and artists, the fair offers a gateway to Korea’s robust gallery circuits and East Asia’s leading contemporary showcase, including the internationally acclaimed KIAF and future international editions. In turn, Korean galleries and corporate partners are poised to deepen market entry into India’s burgeoning art sector, which is powered by new media, youthful entrepreneurship, and rising demand for high-end work. India’s rapid economic growth, expected by the IMF to reach third place globally by 2030, positions it as an ideal stage for pan-Asian art and business innovation.

As ART ASIA DELHI 2025 unfolds, Delhi will witness a dynamic intersection where creative talent, institutional vision, and commercial energy converge, shaping new possibilities for art and cultural exchange across Asia and beyond.
