Riding the Hallyu (K-pop wave) in India with millions of youths embracing Korean culture, the reality TV show Big Boss 17 offered wildcard entry to K-pop sensation Aoora to reach out to huge audience.

NEW DELHI: The eviction of Korean pop singer Park Min Jun aka Aoora from the Indian reality TV show Big Boss Season 17 was a dramatic as well as emotional. Having entered the BB 7 house as a world card contestant spent two eventful weeks, and made his exit from show with huge laughter as the show anchor and bollywood star Salman Khan announced his name. Aoora hugged each contestant and thanked Salman Khan for the opportunity, and said, “India is my second home, Jai Hindi.”

The Colors TV episode showcasing Aoora’s exit featured Bollywood actress Tabu as a special guest, adding an entertaining element to the show by organizing various tasks where contestants playfully called each other out.

The collision of the reality TV and music worlds in India reached new heights with the arrival of Aoora, a South Korean K-Pop artist, in the 17th season of Bigg Boss. His presence not only introduced an international flavor but also marked a significant moment in the cross-cultural exchange between South Korea and India.

Aoora, a former member of the South Korean boy band Double-A and its subunit Aoora&Hoik, made his debut on September 4, 2009, with the song “Love Back.” His global presence and distinctive personality added a touch of international flair to Bigg Boss 17.
