2024 Korea Street Fair delivered a Spectacle of Korean Culture and Tradition in New Delhi

NEW DELHI: From April 12th to 14th, 2024, the streets of New Delhi came alive with the sights, sounds, and flavors of Korea as the city played host to the much-anticipated 2024 Korea Street Fair. This vibrant event, organized in the heart of the capital city at the Plaza, DLF Avenue, Saket wore the look of “Mini Korea” and served as a captivating showcase of Korean culture, drawing in crowds of locals and visitors eager to immerse themselves in the charm and allure of Korea.
The fair organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, New Delhi in collaboration with the Korean Youth Commerce Association (KYCA) was a kaleidoscope of color and energy, instantly captivating attendees with its ornate decorations, traditional Korean costumes, and captivating performances. The lively beats of traditional Korean music and the graceful movements of dancers adorned in hanbok, the traditional Korean attire, filled the air, creating an atmosphere of festivity and cultural celebration.
As many as 29 Korean food & beverages (F&B), and retail products companies displayed their products and services during the 3-day 2024 Korea Street Fair.
Central to the allure of the fair was the tantalizing array of Korean cuisine on offer. Known for its rich flavors and diversity, Korean food has been gaining popularity worldwide, and the 2024 Korea Street Fair provided a perfect opportunity for attendees to experience its wonders. From sizzling bulgogi and piquant kimchi to the comforting flavors of bibimbap, visitors were treated to an authentic culinary journey through the tastes of Korea. Street vendors tantalized taste buds with an assortment of beloved Korean street food, from crispy fried chicken to aromatic barbecue skewers, delighting palates and leaving a lasting impression of the rich tapestry of Korean gastronomy.
Fourteen well-known Korean restaurants, and F&B brands such as Mr. K Korean Ramyun Café, Hong Kong Restaurant, The Bibimbab, Seoul – Original Korean Taste, Seoul Pocha, Miso Restaurant, Seoul Station, The For’est, GOT TEA, Hanvit Restaurant, Gung the Palace, KS Foods, Dosthaus, Hahn’s Kitchen, Heng Bok Korean restaurant set up their stalls to serve their food items fresh to the visitors who love healthy and sumptuous Korean food.
Fifteen well known Korean companies with many of them having global presence in many countries including India are also displaying their products and goods. These include Purun Mool India, Beauty Talk, Style Talk, Korikart (Korea in a Kart), Atomy, Olens, Spigen, Pearls of Korea, I-Kets (India-Korea EduTech Solutions), Studio Yuri, BTS ( K-pop) goodies/Skycity Hotels, Samdasoo Jeju Water, and IYEPPEO.

Throughout the event, attendees had the opportunity to peruse a multitude of stalls featuring traditional handicrafts, artisanal goods, and souvenirs.

On the occasion, the Democratic Peaceful Unification Advisory Council (민주평화통일자문회의) also set up a stall for making the people of India aware of the role, function and responsibilities of this body. It advises by request and makes proposals to the President of the Republic of Korea regarding policy development and implementation for a democratic and peaceful inter-Korean unification.
