ACN’s founder appointed Hony. Chair, PR Committee of Korean Assn. in India

New Delhi, India—The Korean Association in India, the apex body of more than 5,000 Korean nationals working and living in Delhi and NCR towns, has appointed journalist-turned-media entrepreneur Sanjeev K Ahuja, Founder and editor-in-chief/CEO of Asian Community News Network (ACN Network), as Honorary Chair of the Public Relations Committee.

Lee Kwang-il, President of the Korean Association in India, formally inducted Mr. Ahuja into the association during a ceremony at the IBS Centre in Gurugram in April.

After assuming his charge as the 13th President of the Korean Association of India in December 2024, Lee Kwang-il has taken this new initiative of inducting Indian personalities into the Association who have been working intensely to strengthen India-Korea relations. He happens to be the CEO and Founder of SHINKWANG ELECTRONICS Pvt. Ltd..

Sanjeev K Ahuja is a seasoned media professional and visionary entrepreneur with over 27 years of experience in journalism and corporate communications. As the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of the Asian Community News (ACN) Network, he leads a pioneering media platform dedicated to strengthening ties between India and East Asia, focusing on South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and ASEAN countries.

Before launching ACN Network in 2019, Sanjeev had a distinguished career in mainstream Indian journalism. He served in key editorial and leadership roles at India’s leading English daily Hindustan Times for 13 years, including as Bureau Chief and Senior Assistant Editor. His extensive media experience spans both national and international domains, providing him with a robust foundation in content strategy, news reporting, editorial management, and media diplomacy.

Under his leadership, ACN Network has rapidly emerged as a credible and influential media platform among Asian expatriate communities.

The network operates in both digital and print formats, including a monthly magazine, and collaborates closely with key diplomatic missions in India. It has partnered with the Embassies of Japan and the Republic of Korea on multiple high-profile initiatives, including diplomatic golf events and cultural exchanges, acting as their media partner on several occasions.

Sanjeev K Ahuja holds several distinguished affiliations and advisory roles. He is a Member of the Foreign Correspondents’ Club (FCC) of South Asia, affiliated with the International Association of Press Clubs. He is also a Member of the Japan Chamber of Commerce & Industry in India (JCCII), Vice President (Asia) of the Media Federation of India (MFI), and a Board Member of the India-Republic of Korea Friendship Society (IRKFS). In addition, he serves as an Advisor to the Konnichiwa Japan Club and the Indian Students and Researchers in Korea (ISRK), Seoul. He is also the National VP & Spokesperson for the Web Journalists Association of India (WJAI).

The executive body of the Korean Association in India includes GYUYEONG KYEONG Vice President, JANGWOON HYUN Vice President, Dr. ABRAHAM LEE Honorary Vice Chairman, HYEEJUNG CHO Chief Planning Officer 2, JAEWON CHANG Legal Advisor, SUZY CHOI Head of the Events Committee 1, JUHEE LEE Head of the Social Welfare Committee, ROHIT KUMAR Executive Assistant, GEEJOON TOH Head of the Youth Committee, and YOUNGDOO SEO Head of the Events Committee 1.

In December 2024, Kawng-il Lee was elected as the 13th President of the Korean Association of India in a glittering ceremony in New Delhi. As the CEO and Founder of SHINKWANG ELECTRONICS Pvt. Ltd., a position he has held since March 2002, Lee has demonstrated outstanding leadership in the business world. Furthermore, his role as President of the Peaceful Unification Advisory Council (PUAC) India Branch from 2017 to 2023, and now as the Head of the South Western Asia Municipal Chapter of the council, showcases his dedication to broader diplomatic and cultural initiatives. His efforts were recently recognized with a Presidential Citation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in October 2024, solidifying his reputation as a distinguished leader in the Korean diaspora.
