Asuku India Leads Japanese Food Brands at World Food India 2025
Top Japanese food brands showcase authentic flavours and innovation under Asuku India’s leadership
New Delhi, India – Strengthening the bridge between Japan and India in the field of food innovation and trade, Asuku India Pvt. Ltd. led a group of top Japanese food and beverage companies at the prestigious World Food India 2025 exhibition at the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on September 25-28, 2025.
Under the leadership of Managing Director Ryuta Kawai, Koji Nishigaya, and India Management Head Mohit Mahajan, the Asuku India team successfully introduced a broad spectrum of authentic Japanese food products, bringing together some of Japan’s most iconic culinary brands and manufacturers. Dealing in a range of high-quality food and beverages, the company is widely recognised in India for its flagship brand, Tanifuji Rice.
Representing Japan’s diverse and dynamic food industry, the delegation included prominent names such as Miyako Takoyaki, Momoya, Morita Morita, Otafuku, Choko Shoyu, Maruman, TRY International, Hikari Miso, Showa, Fuji Bussan, Sakata Beika, Nichimo, Johoku Menko, Aogen Miso, Kakukyu, Youki, Mutoya, House, Somi, Shimaya, Teitaro Farm, and Shonai Pride.
Together, these companies showcased a rich portfolio of traditional Japanese ingredients, sauces, condiments, miso, confectionery, snacks, and ready-to-use food solutions designed to cater to India’s rapidly growing appetite for authentic Japanese cuisine. The brands attracted keen interest from distributors, chefs, restaurateurs, and hospitality buyers across India, setting the stage for potential collaborations and distribution tie-ups.
Speaking at the event, Ryuta Kawai, Managing Director of Asuku India, highlighted the growing synergy between Japan’s rich food culture and India’s expanding market. “India’s culinary landscape is evolving rapidly, and the demand for authentic Japanese products has never been higher. Our mission at Asuku India is to bring genuine taste, quality, and innovation from Japan to Indian tables,” he said.
Supported by Koji Nishigaya and Mohit Mahajan, Asuku India’s dedicated team ensured smooth coordination, business meetings, and partnership discussions during the expo. The company also hosted a special Japanese Business Networking Meet at the DIA Park Premier Hotel in Gurugram on September 29, where participating brands interacted directly with Indian importers, distributors, and hospitality groups.
Organised by the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India, World Food India 2025 has grown into one of Asia’s largest international food and beverage platforms. This year’s edition featured participation from over 25 countries, including Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Italy, France, the United Kingdom, and the United Arab Emirates, alongside more than 1,000 exhibitors and 100,000 visitors. The event provided a global stage for investment, technology exchange, and business matchmaking in the food processing, packaging, and retail sectors.
