The year’s biggest beauty and wellness expo, BeautySum India 2025, will debut at the Yashobhoomi Convention & Exhibition Centre in New Delhi on August 28-30. More than just a K-Beauty showcase, the event is positioned as a truly international platform that will bring together Korean and Indian beauty brands, ODM manufacturers, raw material suppliers, influencers, and dermatology experts. With business matchmaking, influencer fan meets, regulatory seminars, and an Aesthetic Masterclass led by industry leaders such as Amorepacific, BeautySum India 2025 aims to empower both SMEs and established players while setting a new benchmark in beauty trade exhibitions.

In an exclusive conversation with ACN, Kijung Nam, spokesperson for MESSE ESANG, outlines the vision behind BeautySum India 2025, as follows. He said that Messe Esang identified India as the first overseas expansion destination even before the pandemic, solidified by securing operational rights to the Yashobhoomi Convention & Exhibition Centre:

Q1. What inspired Messe Esang to bring BeautySum to India, and why was New Delhi chosen as the venue for the 2025 edition?
India is not only a high-potential market today but is expected to become one of the largest markets globally in the years to come. MESSE ESANG recognized this potential even before the COVID-19 pandemic and selected India as the first destination for its overseas expansion. Securing the operational rights to the Yashobhoomi Convention & Exhibition Centre provided a strong foundation to launch BeautySum India. We believe the synergy between the globally renowned Korean beauty industry and India’s vast and dynamic beauty market will be unprecedented.

Q2. How does BeautySum India 2025 plan to leverage the global appeal of K-Beauty to benefit both Korean and Indian brands?
BeautySum India is not merely a K-Beauty showcase in India—it is a truly international beauty exhibition. Korea’s world-class cosmetics ODM manufacturers and beauty brands are not only sellers to the Indian market but also buyers seeking India’s unique natural extracts and functional raw materials. Likewise, India has competitive beauty brands with strong local identity, many of which have achieved remarkable results in South Asia and the Middle East. By enabling Korean and Indian companies to become each other’s buyers and sellers, the event creates real and measurable business synergies.

Q3. What differentiates BeautySum from other beauty and cosmetics trade exhibitions held in India or globally?
Most beauty trade shows are organized around national pavilions, which often limit direct communication between organizers and individual exhibitors. This makes it challenging for Korean SMEs to secure tangible results. BeautySum, however, offers precise buyer classification and a tailored business matchmaking program to ensure even small and first-time exhibitors achieve meaningful outcomes. Moreover, beauty and influencer marketing are inseparable. We have integrated local influencer collaborations and experiential marketing activities to maximize brand exposure and viral reach.

Q4. Could you elaborate on the business matchmaking and influencer engagement programs planned during the event?
As organizers, we deeply understand the business structures of the beauty industry. We manage our buyer pool so brand owners can meet distributors, and ODM companies can connect with ordering clients. Our business matchmaking program supports participants before, during, and after the event to ensure measurable results. On the influencer side, we are hosting a fan meeting with India’s popular K-performance influencer Aoora, alongside 100+ micro and nano influencers. This will take place on the B2C Day (Saturday), creating a vibrant atmosphere and amplifying publicity for the event.

Q5. What types of companies and products can visitors expect to see across the exhibition categories at BeautySum India 2025?
Visitors will find a wide range of products—from skincare and makeup brands to top-tier ODM manufacturers, raw material suppliers, and ingredient companies. A special highlight will be the Derma Aesthetic segment. On August 28–29, the Aesthetic Masterclass will bring together leading dermatology and aesthetic experts from Korea and India to present solutions relevant to dermatology clinics, plastic surgery centers, and spas. Notably, Amorepacific will deliver the keynote address, further enhancing the quality and credibility of the event.

Q6. How is Messe Esang supporting first-time exhibitors or smaller brands in accessing the Indian BPC market through BeautySum?
For SMEs, three days at an exhibition are a critical window of opportunity. To maximize value, we have prepared open seminars where companies can pitch their products and solutions. Speakers from Korea, India, France, and other countries will present diverse agendas. Recognizing that CDSCO certification is essential for selling beauty products in India, we will host a seminar dedicated to explaining the certification process, led by experts with experience handling numerous registrations for Korean companies. Additionally, we have arranged networking opportunities with the Korea Importers Association for Indian beauty brands seeking to export. This way, BeautySum benefits both international SMEs entering India and Indian SMEs expanding abroad.

Q7. What long-term vision does Messe Esang have for BeautySum in India—do you foresee it becoming an annual flagship in the Indian beauty industry calendar?
India is a vast country with distinct markets in each state. Our analysis shows that exhibitions in New Delhi attract over 80% of visitors from the Delhi region, while those in Chennai draw over 80% from Chennai. To support SMEs that have already secured certification and entered the Indian market, we plan to expand BeautySum to other major cities across India. Our goal is to establish BeautySum as the representative beauty trade exhibition that reflects the diversity and scale of the Indian market.
