Cheers K-pop fans! BTS Coming to India first on its next world tour?
Indian K-pop fans might meet BTS band right after Coronavirus pandemic is over, and India could be the first destination for BTS on their next round of world tour, indicated former KCCI Director.
NEW DELHI: Millions of K-pop fans in India have a reason to rejoice as India could be the first country the world-famous K-pop band BTS might visit on its next round of world tour after the Coronavirus pandemic ends.
The outgoing director of the Korean Cultural Centre in India (KCCI) Kim Kum Pyoung indicated in his exit video message to the Indian K-pop fans recently, “I am sure that you will meet BTS right after Corona pandemic. I am sure that India will be the first destination for BTS on their next round of world tour.”
The former KCCI director who spent about 10 years of service in India was referring to the growing popularity and fan-following of the BTS band in India. Kim said finally, BTS encouraged K-pop lovers with its exceptional congratulatory messages this year.
In its message, the BTS band too has sent signals of their early and imminent arrival in India.
The 7-member Korean pop group BTS that is a sensation today in India hinted at its visit while congratulating the ‘K-Pop India Contest’ organizers as well as Indian fans for showing interest in K-Pop here.
“We are pleased and proud that this K-Pop event is taking place during such difficult times. We are grateful that many people in India have shown such great interest and passion for K-Pop. We will be coming to India with music and a cool stage that will move and comfort you during these tough times.”
“Thank you ‘Army’ in India. There will be more great music to heal and inspire you. Please keep cheering for us,” it added.
The reason why India and Indian K-pop fans occupy a special space in the heart of the BTS band members and are on the preferential list is the recent development. The song Dynamite released by BTS recently garnered over 100 million YouTube views across the world within 24 hours of it going public, and surprisingly 8 millions of these viewers were from India.
Apparently impressed by the growing number of K-pop and BTS fans, the band members also watched the finale of the K-pop Contest held in India online for the first time due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The former KCCI director Kim Kum Pyoung clarified that his dream was to bolster friendship between Korea and India through the spread of K-pop.
“My dream was to build friendship between India and Korea with K-pop. I focused more on introducing K-pop to every corner of India. As you know luckily Indian K-pop fans grew rapidly. Thanks to you, K-pop supporters from all over India we successfully completed 18 regional rounds of K-pop contest this year in this unprecedented COVID-19 situation,” he added.

Interestingly, the number of Indian students learning the Korean language too is increasing exponentially in India, and the major factor driving this number up is the growing craze for Korean pop.
“The increasing popularity of K-pop in India has led to more and more youths wanting to learn the Korean language as they are eager to understand the lyrics of the Korean songs as well as K-Dramas. We are flooded with inquiries from Indian youths interested in learning the Korean language. We are compelled to hire more Korean language teachers to train the additional number of students on the Korean language,” said Sangeeta Yadav, Founder & Director, Global Diction Studio, a multi-foreign language training institute in Gurugram.
Recently in July, the Indian government too announced the Korean language as a recommended foreign language in the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
Kim Kum Pyoung said that it would be a great opportunity for the Indian generation to learn and enjoy the Korean language as well as culture.

와, 좋은 소식 이네요. 처음에는 중국 드라마를 보곤했는데 그중 하나를 보면서 노래를 좋아해야했는데 드라마의 ost를 의미하고 그 멜로디의 bcoz를 좋아했습니다. 나는 멜로디 매니아이고, 나중에 내가 가장 좋아하는 중국 노래를 juz 부르기 위해 병음 버전을 배우기 시작한 곳에서 시작되었습니다. 나는 나중에 실제로 kpop에 들어간 kdrama로 천천히 관심을 옮기고있었습니다. 샤이니 케이팝 그룹을 발견하기 전까지는 사실 케이팝이나 방탄 소년단의 팬이 아니었고, 사랑하는 종현의 죽음 소식을 듣고 abt 케이팝을 알게되어 정말 슬펐습니다. 사실 저는 그의 노래를 좋아했고, 그때는 방탄 소년단이 다이너마이트 노래로 유명해진시기였던 방탄 소년단의 차례였습니다. 사실 처음 들었을 때 싫은 멜로디 마니아 였고 더 자주 듣던 왕좌는 부드럽고 마음이 따뜻해지는 멜로디 였고 가장 슬픈 노래 일 것입니다. 몇 주 만에 다시 들었을 때 좋아하기 시작했고 더 많은 방탄 소년단을 검색하기 시작했고 그렇게해서 방탄 소년단의 팬이되었습니다. 유튜브에서 팬 사인회 등 재밌는 영상을보고 방탄 소년단에 들어갔고, 그때부터 방탄 소년단을 정말 사랑하기 시작했고, 그때부터 하나 둘씩 듣게되었습니다. 그들 중 7 명은 어느 쪽이든 똑같이 재능이 있고 모두가 훌륭한 노래를 부릅니다. 인도 케 랄라 출신인데도 한국 노래를 부릅니다. 노래를 부르기 위해 한국어를 공부하는 것은 어려웠지만 kdramas가 많이 도움이되었고 한국어는 중국어, 일본어, 터키어, 태국어, 언어보다 발음하기가 조금 어려웠습니다. 나는 실제로이 언어들을 말하거나 읽거나 쓰지 않지만 로마자 가사를 읽으면서 노래를 부를 수 있습니다. 지금은 한국 노래 4 곡, 한국 노래 2 곡을 부를 수 있는데, 여자 부분 만 완벽하게 부를 수 있고, 터키어 2 개, 태국어 1 개, 중국어 3 개, 일본 노래 1 개를 부를 수 있습니다. 보통 저는 귀 멜로디와 kpop은 고음이고 주로 어떤 종류의 록 랩과 멜로디가 섞여서 부를 수있는 타입은 아니지만 성공하면 노래를하려고 노력하고 있습니다. 여성을 위해 항상 남성 노래를 부르는 것이 어렵습니다. 피치와베이스가 둘 다 취할 수있는 것은 완전히 다른 방식입니다. 보통 저에게 맞는 것은 부드러운 멜로디 형식입니다. 아무튼 방탄 소년단을 만나고 기회가되면 아마 20 대, 25 대가되면 사인을받을 수 있으면 좋겠어요.

Wow it’s a good news. In the beginning I used to watch chinese dramas and once, while watching one of them, I was supposed to like a song, I mean the ost from the drama and i loved it bcoz of its melody. I am a melody maniac and that was the beginning from where I started to learn the pinyin version to juz sing my favorite chinese song later on I was slowly shifting my interests into kdramas where I actually got into the kpop, later. I actually was not a fan of kpop or bts until I found the shinee kpop group nd it was really sad that I came to know abt kpop by hearing the death news of our beloved Jonghyun. Actually I liked his songs and then was the turn of BTS that was the time where BTS being famous through their dynamite song. Actually when I heard the song for the first time I didn’t like it coz I was a melody maniac and thone I used to hear more frequently were soft, heart warming melodies nd most probably sad songs. When I heard the song again after a few weeks I started to like it and then I started to search more abt BTS nd that’s how I became the fan of BTS. I got into BTS when I saw the fansigning meetings and other funny videos on youtube and that was when I really started loving BTS nd then i started hear all of their songs one by one. They, the 7 of them are equally talented in one or the other way and everybody sings superb. I too sing korean songs even though I’m from Kerala, India. It was difficult for me to study korean to sing a song but the kdramas helped me alot too nd I think korean was a bit difficult to pronounce than chinese, Japanese, turkish, thai,languages. I actually doesn’t speak, read or write these languages but I can sing songs from reading the romanized lyrics. Now at present I can sing abt 4 korean songs nd 2 korean songs where I’ve only learned the female part to sing perfectly nd I can sing 2 turkish, one thai, 3 chinese, 1 Japanese song. Usually I ear melodies and kpop is of high pitched notes and mainly of some kind of rock rap and melody mixture which is not my type to sing but I’m trying to sing them if I succeed it will be my own pleasure. Its always difficult to sing male songs for a female coz the pitch and bases both can take is a way completely different nd usually the ones which suits me is the soft melody type. Anyways I hope that I could meet THE BTS nd get an autograph probably after I reach my 20s or 25s when I get a chance.

I would like to suggest too that BTS could reconsider our requests
since everyone know that we, the teenager Indians are still depending on our parents abt money and all so I don’t think that they’ll allow us to attend their (BTS) concert because we have to buy ticket and beside that also I’m staying far away from the mainland of India so I’ll have to buy the flight ticket so my parents would not give away their money for this since they think that it’s not that important and they will not allow me to travel by myself (coz I’m still a teenager).
So I would like to request you BTS to please come and visit India for the next 4 or 5 years later at that times I’ve become an adult and I think that at this time I’ve earned enough money and I can afford by myself.

What should I do now… My parents already doesn’t likes it that I am an army… And BTS is coming to India… When I told this to my mum she just denied that I can’t go…. I was begging that why BTS is not coming to India and when they are finally coming I don’t want them to come now… I am just sobbing.. I feel like why I don’t have a job and money…. I am just 19 years old I am just trying and all the time failing in collecting enough money for the tickets…. That’s fantastic news they came to India I’m very happy yeah there is problems for Army because many can’t travel to long distance without parents permission because they are not adult in parents love but when they came on that automatic crowds gather at every place where they are present. As I am a teenager, I don’t have much money to buy their tickets & my parents are also not allowing to give money and enjoying their concert 😭😭😭😭😭So I hope that BTS can try to come after few years.
But still I will support BTS & I will be the forever BTS army….

We indian army have only one concern. Its the ticket cost of bts concert. We can only afford ticket cost rs 1000 per person. If the tickets will be this cheap then bts can attract damn huge audience.u dont even know that theirs a whole huge bts army in delhi🔥😍 And also as india is so big, 1 concert will not be enough. Bts need to do stay here for 1-2 months and do 2-3 concert in different parts of india.
Ticket should cost 1,000 Rs only. Though the ticket will be cheap but it will attract a boom of audience . delhi has a lot of armies awaiting BTS❤️💜 . and the boom of audience will be able to cover up your cost.
