Japan confers Order of Sacred Treasure, Gold and Silver Rays upon six former local employees of Embassy of Japan in India

NEW DELHI: The Government of Japan has announced to award the Order of the Sacred Treasure, Gold and Silver Rays of the 2020 Autumn Decorations to six former Indian employees of the Embassy of Japan in India, in recognition of their contributions to the activities of the Japanese overseas establishment.

The recipients of the Japanese honor include Netra Singh, Satish Kumar Kapoor, Kailash Chandra Pande, Parameshwaran Janardhanan Pillai, Mandhir Dogra, and Lalit Mohan Baluni.

A press communiqué issued by the Embassy of Japan in India says it has the honor of paying tribute to the above six recipients for their long years of service on the occasion of the conferral.

Netra Singh who was an employee of the Embassy of Japan in Indian for 42 years between 1956 and 1998 and provided various support including technical assistance for the diplomatic staff, contributing significantly to the activities of the Embassy.

Satish Kumar Kapoor was with the Embassy of Japan in India for over 30 years (1964-1999). He provided various support for the diplomatic staff and assumed the role of secretary as well, contributing significantly to the activities of the Embassy.

Kailash Chandra Pande who is now the Honorary Executive Secretary, Blind Relief Association (2005 – Present) worked with the embassy for 35 years (1970-2005). His devotion to duty, including the management of the Japanese language course offered at the Japan Information Center of the Embassy, contributed significantly to the activities of the mission.

Parameshwaran Janardhanan Pillai was with the Embassy of Japan in India for over 35 years (1971-2009). He devoted himself to the general affairs of the mission, such as the successful visits of Japanese VIPs, and contributed significantly to the activities of the Embassy.

Mandhir Dogra was with the Embassy of Japan in India for over 35 years (1971-2008). He devoted himself to the protocol affairs of the mission and supported the diplomatic staff, including Ambassador, execute tasks, contributing significantly to the activities of the Embassy.

Lalit Mohan Baluni worked with the Embassy of Japan in India for over 35 (1971-2006), and later he moved to Mizuho Corporate Bank LTD., New Delhi Branch as a clerk (2006-2014). His devotion to duty, including the management of the Japan Information Center of the Embassy, contributed significantly to the activities of the mission.
