Chhattisgarh Invites Global Investors, Showcases Investor-Ready Ecosystem at Investor Forum in Osaka
World Expo 2025: The Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai today announced a significant investment invitation worth $11.45 million (₹100 crore) to Sartaj Foods, Osaka, for establishing a food processing unit in Chhattisgarh.
OSAKA, Japan – The Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has highlighted Chhattisgarh’s potent blend of natural resources, talent, and industry-ready policies at the prestigious Investor Connect event at the World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan, on Monday. He underlined that India and Japan share a deep bond of trust and values, and invited Japanese partners to join Chhattisgarh’s growth journey, shaped by innovation, opportunity, and shared prosperity.
The Chief Minister announced a significant investment invitation worth $11.45 million (₹100 crore) to Sartaj Foods, Osaka, at the forum, for establishing a food processing unit in Chhattisgarh. The project is expected to give a significant boost to the state’s food processing sector, generate large-scale employment, and open up fresh opportunities for local farmers—further consolidating Chhattisgarh’s position as a strong agri-based economy.
The CM has been leading a high-level delegation at the invitation of ITPO to Japan since August 22. The primary purpose of the visit is to participate in the prestigious World Expo 2025 in Osaka, where Chhattisgarh is showcasing its heritage, innovation, and future-ready sectors on the global stage.
Today, the Chhattisgarh CM Sai visited global pavilions and hosted focused discussions to highlight opportunities in Chhattisgarh at the World Expo 2025. The state has also established its own pavilion within the Bharat Pavilion, reflecting its rich heritage, culture of innovation, and emerging sectors. This participation, made possible through ITPO’s invitation, positions Chhattisgarh prominently within India’s representation at the Expo. From here, the CM would lead the same delegation in South Korea, too.
During the Business-to-Government (B2G) meetings today, CM Sai also met Naoyuki Shimada, President & Representative Director of Morabu Hanshin, a leading Japanese company specialising in skilled engineers, system development, and workforce solutions. The discussions focused on collaboration in skill training and workforce exchange, with a vision to enhance Chhattisgarh’s skill ecosystem and prepare its youth for global opportunities.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said, “Chhattisgarh is committed to offering an investor-friendly ecosystem where global partners can find both opportunity and support. With Japan, our partnership is built on trust and shared values. The collaborations discussed in Osaka will not only bring investment but also empower our farmers, create jobs, and strengthen the foundations of a developed Chhattisgarh.”
Officials from Chhattisgarh highlighted the state’s competitive edge: abundant mineral wealth, a proactive single-window clearance system, world-class industrial infrastructure, and a government firmly committed to facilitating global partnerships. The proactive reforms and incentives offered by the state were particularly appreciated by Japanese investors exploring opportunities in food processing, technology, and advanced workforce solutions.
CM Vishnu Deo Sai Visits Chhattisgarh Pavilion: A Spectacular Showcase of State’s Culture and Prosperity at World Expo 2025: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai today visited the Chhattisgarh Pavilion at the ongoing World Expo 2025 in Osaka (Japan), housed within the Bharat Mandapam. Here, he viewed the exhibition highlighting the state’s culture, traditions, and modern progress.
It is noteworthy that on the opening day itself, the Chhattisgarh Pavilion welcomed more than 22,000 visitors. The audience was thrilled to witness the state’s rich cultural heritage, tribal folk art, industry, and tourism attractions under one roof.
CM Sai said that Chhattisgarh is emerging before the world as a unique confluence of tradition and modernity. “Our identity is not limited to heritage and folk culture alone, but we are also advancing rapidly in the direction of industry, innovation, and global cooperation.”
The Pavilion showcased tribal art, weaving, handicrafts, herbal items, and tourist destinations of Chhattisgarh attractively. Alongside, special focus was laid on the state’s industrial capacity, investment opportunities, and future potential.
